When was last time LSU lost while...

having a 90+yard rushing advantage, won the turnover stat and won TOP?
Ole Miss completed more passes then LSU attempted. LSU must get better in the passing game if this season is to improve.

They had a rough stretch in the first half but finished with 180 rushing yards. There were at least signs of life out of the group

Chambliss was 9 for 9 on 3rd down.... 7 were for 1st downs; the other two were Touchdowns.

LSU lost the game on third down on defense. You can say whatever about Leavitt not hitting people etc but they lost the game on third down they couldn't get Ole Miss off the field in the first half. Say what you want but starting fast in the game like that is required.

This is the stat of the game. This is why we lost. It’s that simple. The last QB to have numbers like that against a good LSU team would have to make me believe it was someone like Rex Grossman in 2001 when he threw for 464 yards and hit Reche Caldwell and Jabar Gafney for 300 of those yards combined.
Trinidad’s third down conversions would have been impressive if you cut all of its associated numbers in half.

Maybe the strategy was run heavy to keep their crowd out of the game as best we could. Could also bend to cover up our QB’s weakness time will tell.
