That would be ideal but will Kelly give whoever it is autonomy? So far it’s been 2 OCs calling Kelly’s offense so will he allow a different approach?

He should replace himself with a coach who actually wants to coach, be involved during the week and try to help his team WIN! Give back $30M for theft of services and leave quietly!
Then don’t let woody hire another FB coach and get real seerch Committee to get a real coach who wants to win not just cash a check!

What part of Sloans resume made Kelly think Sloan was qualified? Daniels, a generational talent was never "developed" by Sloan.

I don’t think he was looking for qualified. Kelly just wants a play caller to execute his offense.

This.

Let’s see Sloan operate without Kelly’s meddling and a fixed O Line.

Bring in whoever can improve the line during the bye week, then go from there.

Short of an anonymous $100M donation coming in to the athletic department, Brian Kelly isn’t going anywhere for likely at lease three more years. It is what it is.

We gonna squander a good defense this year because we have a Matt house equivalent offense

Just like he squandered a Jayden Daniels driven offense.

Was listening to Shaun King explain that going from a QB coach to OC isn’t necessarily a natural progression or fit. He wasn’t talking about Sloan or LSU just in general so just because Sloan coached QBs doesn’t mean he’s going to be a good OC. His offenses at Tech were awful.

You’re 100% correct, we did waste that offense but Kelly’s problems on offense did pop up in critical times even for that group. Failing to score in the second half vs FSU, failing to score, up 9, in the 4th quarter vs Ole Miss including those final 2 drives that included some of the most bizarre play calls we’ve seen.

Whoever it is damn well better be an experienced and successful offensive coordinator as we speak, and one with recent past or current SEC experience.

That's just not accurate. 2022 Daniels wasn't near the player 2023 Daniels was and most wanted 2022 Daniels to be benched. I understand criticizing Sloan but there's plenty to criticize without having to make stuff up.

Tim Beck and Mike Shanahan would be my top 2 guys. Shanahan will be getting calls from all over this offseason, possibly some NFL jobs given his last name. Beck will be losing Pavia, so maybe he'll be interested in making his move now considering he can be getting paid much more at a place like LSU.

Beck looks good and may be, but schools are going to want him to prove he can continue what he’s doing after Pavia.

We don’t need anyone with potential risk after Sloan. We need a home run hire at OC.

Kendall Briles has SEC experience and has had a good start to the season. Tim Cramsey looks like an up and comer who is doing a pretty remarkable job this year at Memphis with over half of the offensive roster from last year having been replaced. That’s a strong indicator of good teaching and coaching.

Kirby Moore at Mizzou is a great candidate, but their fan base might march on BR if we take a 3rd coach from them.

The problem is he would be much like Orgeron, HC in waiting. Do we really want that?
