I agree.

I just don't know what the answer is.

I slightly understand why the leaving happens. I don't agree with it, but I SLIGHTLY understand it.

What I don't understand is why people pay those ticket prices and leave? I mean, if it's that inconvenient, why not save the money and watch it on the big screen?

Sheek, I apologize. Your post was more nuanced. I meant to reply to GTHOM's post about the Google search.

It just seems every time someone mentions the very real problems about TS, some apologist chirps, "Oh, it's happening everywhere!"

Not near to this extent.

let people leave and come back in and you'd see a drastic change. hell most people probably just want a smoke and a beer. it's ridiculous that I can't exit and reenter any time I want.

baseball allows it and you rarely see the stadium emptying before the end

I think they should lock 'em all in. Gates will not open for exit until one minute remaining.

Run a very quick Google search. It's not only LSU fans. It's happening everywhere. Heck, the NFL is losing TV viewers at a shocking rate.

I think TV and the attention span of the avg fan has hit college football hard. Length of games could be a issue also. There are just so many ridiculous stops in a game now many referee induced. As for the NFL they have been digging their own grave for years now. The rule changes and the NFL's relentless drive for inclusivity demanded by SJW fringe groups has turned off the avg fan in TV viewership. Attending a NFL game is like watching 50 year olds who feel the need to drink to prove they still can. Just a shite show in the stands these days. Grown arse men wearing halloween outfits. NFL had a good product at one time.

LSU priced out the die hards and now you are seeing some of the repercussions.

Well since I paid for my tickets, I do what the frick I want. If I choose to leave at half, so be it.

And there isn't a damn thing you can do about it so enjoy being pissed off.

Did none of y'all watch any other games yesterday?

Florida looked like a ghost town by the fourth quarter... and in their mind they're playing for a SEC championship.

I think this is pretty much a universal problem... tv wants (and the fans think they want) prime time games; however, prime time games means I get home at midnight/one o'clock.

Say all you want, but between tickets, TAF funds, parking passes, tailgating expenses, etc., the cost of games have shifted the average attendee to one who doesn't want to get home (with the kids) at that hour.

So, either lower the cost of attending games to the point where young people paying off student loans with shitty jobs can attend the games, OR change the times of the games - not just the start time either - shorten the games and the time it takes me to get home after the game.

Leaving at halftime is better than not showing up. You couldn't give tickets away to the game yesterday. It was fricking southern miss. Play a good Sec team and the stadium is packed.

Sometimes I don't think the players appreciate the effort it takes to get to campus, park, walk around and be seen, eat, drink, talk to friends then go sit in the stadium.

shite it wears us out. No way I can stay the whole time.

Then keep your tired arse at home and sell your tickets to someone that will stay the whole game...

I think last night was the first time I ever left at halftime. I worked all day. I was tired. LSU played like shite in the first half. It was Southern Miss. And I had to be at work this morning at 4:00.
Not all fans leave early because they were tailgating all day.

Administration has ruined Tiger Stadium atmosphere with the pumped in rap music and the destruction of all of the great traditional Tiger Band songs. Let the band play and bring back some excitement. Play Neck and watch the crowd go absolutely nuts....oh I forgot, it might offend someone.

Was out of town and watched the game on TV last night. The announcers said that the NCAA is taking a look at game length as being a factor in this issue nation wide. It isn't just LSU. They are placing much of the blame on the officials. Not the number of calls but how long it is taking between the throwing of the flag and the announcing of the call. I haven't put a stopwatch to it but have noticed that their huddles and conferring on the headset with the guy in the booth does add up.

Sell alcohol in the stadium.
Allow people to exit and re enter.
People drinking want to smoke, or eat.
