He’s hurt, that’s the only reason he isn’t playing

Johnson held the ball just as bad
Even relatives of Daniels aren't delusional enough to say this. Daniels seems to have mental blocks in this area.

Max was completing 60.6% of his passes and 3 TDs with no interceptions
Pretty Danielsesque on a team with a lot less talented playmakers.

I'll withhold judgment on that until I see the quality of JDs backward passing ability.

And as bad as that was, Max threw for 330 yds and 3 TDs that game. Boutte had all 3 TDs and 148 yds. In the first game of the season Max got almost more production out of Boutte than Daniels has in half a season.

It's a combination of him not being wanted (left-handed) and his brother REALLY being wanted by TAMU. They were a package deal (we offered Max years ago to get his brother).

I disagree. Myles Brennan was thought, by everyone, to be better than Max
Because he was. I'll trust my lying eyes.

Daniels was selected over Brennan
By a new coaching staff that doesn't value a passing QB over a running QB. They gave him no real shot of being the man so he left and the WR core is casting their vote every week as we see the pissed off faces and bad body language form our WR's in response to the QB play. It's a fricking joke and the full consequences of the QB selection are still yet to unfold.

His family was offered a lucrative NIL deal for his little brother and Max.

And Kelly was convinced Daniels was his guy. 1st bad decision that will stunt his progress in reshaping this program. Until he finally realizes Daniels is dog shite, and he has to get him off the damn field and try something else. Anything else. shite, I'd take Mckernan over Daniels at this point. Being in Tiger Stadium and watching those receivers running wide open deep all day really showed me how bad Daniels is. TV doesn't show you as much obviously, but as bad as it looks on TV, it's horrifying in person.

Max wasn't happy here. There were rumblings of him transferring a month before Kelly was hired.

His brother wasn't coming here and his parents wanted them to play together.

BK told Max that he would have to earn the starting job and that lsu was bringing in a transfer (this was before Myles announced he was coming back).

Could hiring BK have been another in a series of massive mistakes by the program? If JD5 "leads" this team the rest of the way, my conclusion is yes.

Max entered the portal in December 2021. Daniels did not transfer to LSU until nearly 4 months later.

No, his dad saw he couldn’t run a coach like he did O. Plus, they were a package deal in recruiting to get some money.

Even with Max leaving we would have started the season with Brennan, Nuss and Howard. Everyone knows that Howard is the future and Brennan and Nuss would have been capable of handling the QB duties until that time. It may have seemed like a good idea at the time, but bringing in Daniels does seem to be a miscalculation and has played against the strengths of the offense.

I assume he wanted a guarantee he would be the starter and he didn't get it.

Max couldn’t beat out Haynes King, let that sink in
