Either way you have 4 guys on the line and 3 guys behind them in base sets. How are these two defenses different and why do you need different personnel up front to run one or the other? Is it the gap assignments? Explain it to me like I'm 5.

Just google Steel Curtain Steelers for 4-3, and Dome Patrol Saints for 3-4. There is your homework assignment for tonight.

4-3 = 4 defensive lineman & 3 linebackers

3-4 = 3 defensive lineman & 4 linebackers

Jesus man.

You realize a 4-3 can be 1 or 2 gap responsibility with d line? You don’t understand many run a 4-3 because they have stronger d line than linebackers? And vice versa for a 3-4? For lineman to maintain gaps absorb blocks so linebackers can scrape and fill? A 5 year old won’t understand this. Sure hope u do.

Just look at 1987 vs. 1997.

That'll do.

Was afraid this was going to go bad for you. Some good feedback & links should answer your question. If your post was not a troll. Hope you learned something on a few fronts :-)

This isn't the place to ask questions to learn mate, the average maturity level of posters are 15. They all have insecurity issues and need to down you trying to learn so they can feel like they're not incels.

It's already been answered so I'm just here to say, don't let the kiddos bother you, they are more depressed and immature then you'll ever be.

Grow up people, dudes just asking a simple question, not like he came in here cocky about knowing his shite.
