You mean made relevant AGAIN recently. I'm pretty sure that LSU has been more relevant in the past. He is bringing in great talent. He needs to coach that great talent and make some runs in March.

I don't get this feeling with Woody. This job is personal to him being his alma mater. He wants all of his coaches to be well respected coaches throughout the National landscape. Wade certainly isn't that. Wade has made himself nearly impossible to replace with all of the winning at a shite program with shite facilities as far as College basketball is concerned. If the NCAA comes down on us even a little bit, Woody has an easy out.

What's the deal with Woodward and Wade?
Somehow Will hasn't been extended. At this time why would either party want to extend, if I were Wade, I would rather negotiate after a deep run into the NCAA tournament possibly final 8 or final 4.
Why would Woodward want to extend, and this team turns south and look bad?
Any update on when those upgrades are coming to the basketball facility? I'm sure Mulkey is making similar demands. Let's all assume money is a big issue and who is going to pay, the discussion surely has taken place we will know when the time comes.
Woodward still hasn't said or done anything about these SEC refs. Maybe he sees a very athletic aggressive team that plays very hard defense and take chances to get turn overs. The AD complaining about the referee's is not his job, whining, complaining about losing makes LSU look weak, better to take the high road [i]
Seems like he wants Wade to leave but doesn't want to fire him, so he doesn't piss off the fan base

It’s probably a mix of LSU basketball being under investigation since he’s been here and the fact that he’s been focused on getting the money to buy out and hire an entire new football staff

I’m game with letting Wade walk, he is not very good at X’s and O’s . You can get all the top recruits you want if you can’t coach them up what good is it. We need someone like Bruce Pearl at LSU

After this long you would think the NCAA would have found something by now. The player involved has been interviewed and investigated and nothing was found. He even finished that season and played in one more. There is nothing there. Time to move on.

Woodward is behaving like an impartial AD who is responsible for hiring the best for LSU and not like one of these fanboys on this site

Considering how LSU has improved the last four years after ten years of no NCAA tournament wins, to be unhappy with it is your own fault. The flaws LSU has gate indeed frustrating and I’ve gotten fricking pissed myself at times, but I’ve never said Wade needs to go.

The problem with this dumbass opinion is ZERO elite/great coaches want to coach here. Basketball is the DISTANT third most popular sport here and our facilities are among the worst in the SEC, not to mention Louisiana doesn't produce elite HS prospects like it does in football. Woody wouldn't be able to hire an established coach, he would at best get a mid major coach that likely wouldn't even be as good as Wade.

I’m sure he is wary of Wade’s wild-horse nature involving recruiting & the NCAA as well as past defiance against LSU’s own
And I like Jordy, but what he’s doing with this Clemson stuff is dangerous. Whether he’s leaking it for Wade or riding solo on this, it’s going to look like he is leaking for Wade regardless. Do you really think this is the way to make Woodward jump at a new contract??

I can promise you Jordy isn’t doing it on Wade’s behalf. He isn’t close to Wade and personally isn’t a Wade supporter.
