A booster or boosters willing to scratch a $60 million dollar check. Until that occurs his seat will be ice cold.
Scott wanted a splash hire, so he is tied to Kelly. He may be gone before BK. We could have gotten the same results for same money/ 1/2 the years or 1/2 the money/same years. His seat won't be hot until year 8.
I want LSU to win as much as anyone else, but he has had several missteps with the staff and losing to really bad teams. Sure, he has a Heisman winner, but the team around JD was extremely flawed. He has some unexplainable issues on defense, when the man made his coaching bones as a defensive coordinator. He also seems to not be able to fix a problem or make adjustments to what his opponent is doing. If it's his assistants or players that are the problem, that is on him as well.
If we are being honest, he has really not proven to be a consistent championship coach since he's been here, but he isn't going anywhere for a while. His inconsistency and poor decision making are what is frustrating about a $100 million dollar coach.

That money is better spent on players.

We go 8-4 with this team this year and he's going to have the hottest seat in the country to start next year.
We aren't paying him $10M/yr to lose 4 games every year.
That is why places like LSU and other schools with realistic high expectations should have provisions in their contract that reduces the buyout when a coach has a year where they go 8-4. You lose 4 games, 1 year comes off remaining contract. You make the playoffs, 1 year gets added to the contract. I don't care what the scenario is, it's not acceptable to go 8-4 at LSU.

Miss a bowl game in 2025. Hell he might skip the hot seat and just get straight up canned if that happens.

Someone willing to spend $60+ million in order to fire the current staff then some more to buy a new staff... It isn't happening. You can't be on the hotseat if there isn't a threat of being fired.

leaving his chair in the sun without a cover.
In all seriousness, he is owed 90% of whats left on his contract if he were to be fired. With Revenue share and NIL, firing coaches is going to be harder. The same people who'd pay for that are paying for other things too.

Losses to Clemson, Florida, Ole Miss, Aggie and Bama would lead to a hot seat.

I think the wheels would have to come completely off like 4-8 or something like that. LSU isn't paying his buyout anytime soon.

Losing to bama 42-13 at home

Playoffs, simple. With 4 out of 5 replacements on the OL, I see 3 to 4 losses. They are not as good as last years group. Not really much good depth. RB's will not be able to run as we would like and less time for Nuss in the pocket. Anytime you replace 4 out of 5 on the OL, I do not care who you are, you will have issues. Zero game snaps for this group. Chemistry. This will be CBK's way to another lack luster year for Tiger fans and his seat gets even warmer.

He’s been on the hot seat since he killed a kid @ Notre dame. The only worse hire LSU has made this century was Joe Alleva. Entitled pricks that shite the bed in big games don’t fit our culture here. Unfortunately, we are stuck with him for at least 4 more years. Can’t wait to lose to Clemson.
He wasn't even close to being on the hot seat when he left ND. That's why their fans were so bitter at the time. He won 55 games in his last 5 years there including an undefeated regular season and two top 5 finishes.
LSU won't stick with him for the next four years if he doesn't produce. He will have to make the playoffs or he will be gone within the next year or two. He has stabilized the program, turned it back into a winner, and has had some big Ws against Bama and Ole Miss. But LSU is expecting him to get into the playoffs now with what he is getting paid.

Missing the playoffs without excuses such as injuries to his top players.

Hot seat for the fans? Losing the first game.
Actual hot seat in terms of job security? Something catastrophic where LSU could potentially fire him for cause.
It would cost ~$50M to fire him after this season. With the ever-increasing demands for player payments, I just can't see the big donors agreeing to pay (1) the buyout, even if installments, to fire BK, and (2) money to pay players and (3) huge amount to hire a new HC/staff.
The fans may not like it, but IMO, BK is here for at least 3 more seasons (including this year) unless the record is catastrophically bad (something like multiple 6-6, or worse, seasons)

Even the kids own parents said that Brian Kelly has no blame in that situation. Some of you people are so unbelievably insufferable I wonder how you get along in day to day life.
And no…..he was not on the hot seat at Notre Dame and he also isn’t on the hot seat at LSU. Grow up

Isn't he guaranteed 90% of the full value of his contract if he's let go? That would be $54 million after this year. Yeah, LSU isn't paying that. I think he's here at least 3-4 more years.

He will not be on the hot seat for losing to Clemson.
They are the most talented team we will play all year and Clemson will be the betting favorite.
If we look unprepared, unmotivated or are still purposely avoiding initial contact on defense, he will most certainly be on the hot seat.
