What will be the upgrade at C? It's the only hole left in the roster

Travinski if not a transfer. Idk that any lineup can overcome some batting under .100
We may be able to overcome it but shouldn’t have to.this is LSU, we can find someone to catch well and hit 250.
Hell,he’s already on the roster .travinski has crazy pop but his catching skills are less than meh

If you remember before Tennessee.we had some young pitchers stepping up.if we develop our young pitchers a good bit in the off season then we will have some decent arms

We got an elite hitter to transfer in, but we have plenty of holes in the lineup other than catcher. Johnson will have options and he will coach some guys up and it will be fun to see how it turns out.

He can’t hit. Not for power, not anything. What purpose does he serve? At least Travinski can give you power off the bench.

We dont know what he is capable of offensively. He has never had a hitting coach with johnsons acumen.
What purpose does he serve? You didnt see what he did defensively, im guessing.
There is an argument to be made that he shouldnt start. There is zero logical reason to want him off the team.

You don’t have to hit with power as long as you put the ball in play. He is a very good defender just needs to work in his hitting which JJ is good at teaching.

He’s not completely wrong. He can be the greatest receiver ever but if you hit .125 then your literally giving up an innings shame offensively to have a good receiver . He need to make huge strides this off season at the plate or he’s a waste

I just really want to know why he did not make a single adjustment all year. Did they just not work with him or is he uncoachable? What’s crazy is his strikeout numbers weren’t even that terrible. He can put the ball in play he just can’t square anything up. It’s all grounders or pop ups.

Im not saying he will hit .330 with 12 homers les. But he may be able to hit .250 with maybe an OPS around .700 and maybe 4 homers. That would be acceptable for a catcher with a lineup that can hit around him

I think this is the most likely option. All he needs to do is hit .240 with productive outs, considering he is a well above average defensive catcher.
I am not sure it's the only hole on the roster, though.

Hopefully Carter Jensen or Moller if one of those make it to campus that would be a huge upgrade but don’t forget Travinski was a top 75 player coming in out of high school dude can Rake but he can’t throw down to second to save his life. Milazzo is so superior at defense if he could hit .250 he would be elite and I’m hoping with Johnson coming in he can. Help him reach that goal. Milazzo was known for hitting much better out of high school just think Eddie Smith changed some things and made it worse ala Beloso
