What were you doing 22 years ago, Sunday January 4, 2004?

I was watching on TV.

I was in the Dome on the 40 yard line!

Great game. I was there with my son, who bought me a ticket as a Christmas present.

There something about that Sugar Bowl game that made me feel like I was living my childhood Christmas dreams all over again.

I joined this site that day.

Sophomore in high school at my best friends house watching with fam. Absolute cinema!

About this time my Dad and I were having lunch at Cafe Maspero in the FQ.

It was cold with a mix of mist and light freezing rain before the game.

My uncle called maybe an hour before we went in the Dome, already a few drinks in and very happy.

The seats we had weren’t great, and I’d have much better seats for later postseason games, but we were attending a game that we weren’t sure we’d ever see and were freaking thrilled to be there.

Outside of the dome, a Sooner was crowing loudly about the number of national championships they had won, and I asked “Did you bring a conference championship this year?” He walked off without another word.

Celebrating my birthday.

I had two tickets pretty much gifted to me. My buddy and I turned down $2500 each from some Oklahoma fan. We sat on about the 35 and I felt like a kid in a candy store.
