Yes, 100% absolutely. If you think his on-field coaching prowess made a single iota of difference with respect to the 2019 squad, you don't have a clue what you are talking about.
This is actually pretty hilarious -- a fan of another program coming in and trying to tell LSU fans that actually ed orgeron was a good coach. You are as dumb as they come if you believe that lol.

These “burn it down” types are simply dead wrong. The program has an absolutely solid foundation, and just needed the right HC to develop talent and stay out of the bad headlines.
Kelly is that, and he will compete sooner than what most are expecting. Many of these players and recruits were already wishy washy because O was fired a while back. They’ve been looking.

The program has elite resources.
The entire point of this week is that we're finding out the foundation, as defined by the human equation, is not solid. It's weak. There is talent in the program but the attitude is awful. The work ethic isn't there. The behavioral aspect of the team is awful and has been for years. And the leadership is nonexistent.
How come you got the Koy Moore mess at LSU and not at Alabama? Was there an Eli Ricks situation at Michigan this year? Do players' parents at Oklahoma State or Notre Dame go on radio shows or podcasts and bash the coach or offer "helpful" suggestions as to how he should run his team?
Burning it down doesn't mean running off all the talent, and Kelly isn't going to do that. But it does mean a total reboot of cultures, habits, behaviors and attitudes. And no organization is successful if the people in it aren't willing to buy into the new direction. So when you have people on the outside of that, they've got to go.
On the whole, I don't think we're far apart. But the team culture is the single most important thing a program can have. It's the difference between a Baylor and a Texas. We're the latter right now.

They definitely were. We’d only been to a bowl 3 times in 11 years and two of those were the Independence Bowl.
You don’t win the conference with 3 losses anymore, so I don’t see winning the SEC in year two though.
