What was the real reason we went for 2?

Did LK say after the game?

And to give opponents some game film for when we go for 2. Then we do something different in the same formation.

I think it’s fair to run plays for reps in a game like that. 44-3, 45-3, your arse was beat regardless.
and like someone above said, this might be for a plan to for future trick plays

Because of the 2 NFL players that weren’t added to the roster.

Because we couldn't go for 3.

Cause frick em that’s why!

Just practicing honestly. What else is there to do when you're already destroying the opponent.

Because it was only the third quarter, and Lane wanted to hit 60. If he gets two it’s 46, then two more TDs with plenty of time left gets you 60. Lane likes numbers, and it’s less insulting to go for 2 when in the 40s in the third quarter than in the 4th when you’re in the 50s. I honestly believe this enters the thought process. Lane likes to make a splash, and I like that in a coach. I don’t think we’ve had one of those before.

Happens when you have a cut throat coach who wants to make a statement

He said they had guys do the math and it’s more than 1.

Wanted 44 or 46 instead of 4X on the board due to profound respect reasons.

Don’t want your first 2pt try to be down 28-30 with a minute left

Dabo didn’t seem to be bothered by it. I still remember in 2011 lsu was still throwing the ball up big late vs Arkansas and Petrino pointed at Les and started cussing at him.

This always drove me nuts in the Les Miles era. He would get up by 3 or 4 scores and then just hand the ball off the rest of the game instead of working on our poor passing game.

I want to know the real reason Lane did NOT call timeouts on Clemson's last possession of the first half, which went 3-and-out? The Tigers could have stopped the clock and regained possession around midfield with about a minute left and have had an.excellent opportunity to put moar points ON THE BOARD.

I was more shocked he decided to kick that fg on the 4th and short in the first half
Posted on 9/6/26 at 10:41 am to UnluckyTiger
Probably wanted to get the kicker some real game work.

I don’t know. The answer is not obvious like if we were beating Tulane 60-0.

We did not have Mr. Daniel’s permission to have a 5 on the scoreboard.
