It was an effort to try and humanize a coach that fell extremely flat and sunk into being fricking weird almost immediately.

All-n-all it was odd. Guess I missed it but was there some reason she couldn't attend games so that this was a special occasion?

That targeting wasn't even close. Sage Ryan hit the WR with his right shoulder on top of chest. Targeting is leading with the crown of your helmet. Sage's helmet not once touched the Ark WR. They tried to say "Targeting is if you hit any part of your body on their head." That has never been what targeting was. Ever. They just saw a really big hit and instinctively TARGETING TARGETING TARGETING. They even doubled down after the refs corrected the call.

The 2 announcers were bad...they rambled on about little nothings and a few times looked like they weren't focused on the game. At one point they were being referees!

Given that the game was on Disney/ESPN, it was my impression that it was intended as a DEI puff piece to lift the coach’s profile.

The worst announcing crew in my 58 years of life, that I have seen for an LSU game. It was TERRIBLE. I know the one guy has done us a lot in the past, but the mouth of the duo, was absolutely terrible and wouldn't shut up. He acted like we were Kentucky or some program like that, just trying to be relevant. I truly don't believe he knew that we were undefeated in league play and ranked 8th. DEI hire?
