The PMAC houses 4 sports. To maximize revenue to increase profitability, you need suites, club level, premium seating. Plus while those teams aren’t playing you can use it for concert etc.

You must not be very tall. If you’re over 6 foot tall, there’s no leg room at all in the PMAC.

New Track and field facilities are going to be built where the golf course is.

That was scratched during the last meeting and they are discussing other location options. Didn't hear if they settled on a location.

The Pmac lacks the modern amenities that helps the fan experience and makes alot of revenue. Such as suites and club seating open concourses.

Why spend the money when most of will just bitch like you all do about the Box and it is 15 years old.

Well we went cheap with the box and it’s only 15 years old but is not a top 3 sec venue

Honestly don’t get the uproar about the PMAC. Went to the South Carolina LSU basketball game and the atmosphere was amazing. Seats were comfortable, view of court was great, the jumbo tron is state of the art, had no problem getting food and drink. Bathroom line was long at halftime but moved decently. I mean I guess it’s old and that’s why people bitch. But i don’t think it needs to be torn down. Probably just renovated. There are way more things on campus that we need more.

Ponchy Tiger

LSU definitely went on the Cheap Building Alex Box, They cut corners and just thought the fans would just accept it.

The Maravich Assembly Center has got it share of "LSU Upgrades" Lip Stick on a Pig..Time to get real for the Team, Fans and the look of the University.

You make a great point.

We all know how hard Skip had to work to build this baseball program and how underfunded he was along the way. It seems like while he was AD, he was more focused on proving how good a job he could do operating lean and turning a profit rather than making it easier for his successors.

In a way, it was probably just Skip doing Skip things, focused on excelling at his job description. However, it's still a little surprising that he didn't seem to get past that over time.

Just don't reduce seating capacity. It would be absurd to force gymnastics, women's basketball and men's basketball when they reach SEC power again in a couple of years to play in front of smaller crowds just to satisfy the egos of high rollers who will only show up for big games.

The PMAC has hosted many big time concerts, why can't it still do so if the performers want to come to BR?

What should be the capacity of a new arena?

Only issue I have with the PMAC is the outer concourses are crowded when there is a crowd larger than about 10,000. They’ve tried to add more concessions but some of those stands are on the sides of the concourse, which cuts into walking space.

This wasn’t a big problem back in the day when the men packed the place because there weren't concessions on the side of the outer concourse. And some of that is the overall lack of courteousness we have as a society today where people linger in the middle of a walkway looking at their phone, talking or overall cluelessness.

Inside the arena, there’s not a bad seat for basketball and the big scoreboard is an immense help. Could use a little more leg room but the place is fine considering it opened more than 50 years ago.

New arena for LSU sports and concerts to be announced shortly. Great for LSU and BTR!…done deal

Not saying you aren't correct but I feel as though we've been hearing for years now "expect an announcement soon" or "they're very close to a plan" or something along those lines and yet we haven't heard a thing
