I think there's a solid chance Austin cut his pay for 2025

Sometimes they enter the portal just to get more money from the team they're currently playing for. Entering the portal doesn't necessarily mean a guy is gone.

Because we are not gonna pay him what we did for that kind of production. He was the third highest paid player and is nothing but a possession receiver.

I think they have a very good understanding of economics. The portal is clogged with future NFL undrafted free agents that have figured out that college programs will spend stupid money out of desperation for mediocre talent.

Where all of those things are possible, you also have to honestly look at yourself and know that some or all of those things didn't happen because you didn't make it happen. If it's solely for more money, then happy trails.
