What player surprised you the most in a good way on the field Saturady?

For me it was Davon Godchaux and Dwayne Thomas.

Godchaux and Quinn.
Quinn looks unreal running routes. Like his torso and head look like it's staying still while he's running routes at full speed.
ETA: Diarse is a freaking bowling ball. I want to see him go into motion on some running plays to set up inside blocks.

Agree totally about Quinn, but I wasn't surprised.

I knew Quinn would see a good amount of playing time but didn't expect him to be in on every play...awesome

Thomas I thought looked pretty good last year so not really a surpise. Since we had never seen Godchaux or Diarse in an actual game they were both pleasant surprises.
As for players we saw last year who were played better than I expected, that would be a tie between Jalen Collins and Jennings. They both improved quite a bit since the last time we saw them.

Upvoted you. Mainly for the Harris comment.

Yeah Thomas has been solid his whole career in his limited roles

Diarse...future All-SEC player (maybe this year).

Diarse and Quinn, fo sho.
You didn't state "new players".. so...
I was pretty happy with Jennings too.
He needs to work on his awareness and decision making. For example, there was one seemingly botched play where he rolled out to the right and just took a 8 yard sack head on when he was well out of the pocket and had plenty of time to throw it away. That was frustrating.
But his route anticipation and ability to hit the receiver PERFECTLY in stride were impressive, I thought.
Our offense could actually be pretty good this year. If our O-line plays like they can we could make some noise.
