re: Donavaughn Campbell - lsuexpert57
What's the word on David Ducre? He got quite a few reps early on but has been MIA the last few...is he hurt or just passed by Carter?...

re: For those who say O will need 2-3 years to "Right the ship - lsuexpert57
While O didn't inherit a "team with no talent", he also didn't inherit a particularly talented team either. Today our offense had 3, count em, 3 true freshman playing, including both tackles. Talented teams don't have to play 3 freshmen on the o-line. We have only one really solid reciever right now...

re: For the football coaches: What specifically is O doing wrong? - lsuexpert57
I guess if the "specifics" were clear it would be much easier to pick a winning coach out of the field when a school is doing the hiring! ...

re: For the football coaches: What specifically is O doing wrong? - lsuexpert57
Draco, because in my experience, the sides of the ball will generally take on the personality of their coordinators and be led by them...especially if the HC is a CEO type, which by all accounts Orgeron is. If the HC isn't calling the plays and is being "hands off" with the implementation of the off...

re: For the football coaches: What specifically is O doing wrong? - lsuexpert57
Nimblecat, it does seem that our veteran linemen have taken a step back this year, especially Clapp, but as far as I know, Moffit is still the strength and conditioning coach, as he has been for several years, and by all accounts nothing has changed in the off season program. ...

re: For the football coaches: What specifically is O doing wrong? - lsuexpert57
So, that's all you got. How is O contributing to our demise? He's not calling plays. He didn't devise the offence. He isn't the defensive coordinator. How come Aranda's defense looks so bad this year compared to last? What did O do to it? ...

For the football coaches: What specifically is O doing wrong? - lsuexpert57
So we have a team that seems to have much more talent than the teams that gave us our two losses. Our schemes are being taught, installed, and coached by coordinators that are highly thought of by most of the coaching community. So what specific things could O be doing that is undermining these see...

re: Lets talk O-Line specifically Center. - lsuexpert57
I think thats a good assessment of some of our problems I20Goon. It sounds like from practice reports this week that Cush is working more with the ones, possibly preparing to move Clapp to RG. I hope its just Clapp struggling with playing center and not some physical problem related to his shoulder ...

Possibly. I'm sure it will be a rotation among several players...with those making the most plays getting the most reps....

re: I believe if these four players win their match up, we win the game. - lsuexpert57
First of all, Allen almost always lines up as a right DE, though they do move him around a bit. This means the responsibility of blocking him will mostly fall to Clapp and Malone. On passing downs they will probably chip him with an H-back or RB. I do think we will try and run quite a bit behind Bou...

re: Question for the defensice x and o guys re: ole miss game - lsuexpert57
Actually, If I'm not mistaken, they beat the pick play to Engram on consecutive plays down there on the goal line. The one you mentioned, then another pick play to the opposite side to Engram also broke up by Adams....

re: Could Ensminger bring anything new to the table at this point? - lsuexpert57
I don't think we need any "new" plays. The plays we have are just fine. Teams like Bama and GA and Ark run the same type of scheme we do, they just seem to mix it up better than we have. Thats all I am really hoping for, just being less predictable, especially early in games....

re: What kind of playcaller will Ensminger be? - lsuexpert57
He was considered the better passer out of he and Woodley, even though it was Woodley who eventually made it to the NFL. (I will have to google it, but is Woodley still the only ex-LSU QB to ever start a Super Bowl?) In my mind, the only changes he could make on such short notice is simply being mor...

What kind of playcaller will Ensminger be? - lsuexpert57
So he hasn't been an OC since he was at Clemson. I admit to being clueless about the type scheme's he ran while he was an OC. What changes, if any, can we expect from an Ensminger run offense?...
