Let’s get one thing straight: Two NCs in the last 15 years doesn’t make us an elite program.

Maybe we're not elite right now, but this is an odd standard to prove that. Only Bama has won more than two in the last 15 years.

News flash: It’s hard to go unbeaten in CFB. Not many teams do it. Good teams can lose and still have great seasons. Did any of you honestly think we’d go undefeated with our schedule and how suspect we’ve looked at times this year? No. Not even the sunshines. shite happens and all is not lost, we still have a real shot at a 10-2 possibility even 11-1 year. It’s football, crazy stuff can happen.

Not asking for undefeated. But to already lose first game of October with much better teams ahead is not good.. we should beat UF while they are down. Aside from everything else, the coaching was incredibly frustrating yesterday.

I don’t know if it’s entitlement, immaturity, alcohol and emotions or a mix of all the above

"newsflash," every single fan base in the SEC would be complaining after a loss.. it's part of being a freaking fan.. and yes a lot of it is emotion.. but I'm fairly certain most fan bases couldn't even handle the idea of O and E as their HC and OC.. so if anything, our fans, are probably taking it far better.. than "most fans"

meanwhile you have certain coach that gets pissed that they only win by 30+, and he even complains about their fans.. after just one game.. i guess he's the worst coach as well, right?

keep embracing and making excuses. the schedule crap is so ridiculous. we NEVER made that excuse until now. we certainly didn't make it in 2011. i am sick of 9 wins as the ceiling. LSU should be on UGA's current level, but they went cheap and lazy.

Another one who doesn't get it...

We deserve better than mediocrity. Nothing we've done so far says we're better than mediocre.

Yes we have an opportunity to rebound and prove we're better than mediocre. We have Alabama and Georgia on our schedule. That's a fact.

But as of right now, we are mediocre at best, and that's unacceptable. If you accept mediocrity, that's on you. I choose to believe that we get enough talent at LSU to be better than mediocre.

So since we are at best mediocre, it's tough to believe that a mediocre team will have a chance against Georgia and especially Alabama. With the way things look, we will be in a dog fight with aTm if we're lucky. If you choose to not be concerned about the season, that's on you. But not understanding why some of us would be concerned is really odd IMO. You're either a blind fan or accepting of mediocrity.

Even though you may be right in the end....makes no sense to say we are mediocre and prejudge the team at this stage of the season...you see weaknesses with the team as everyone else does but i'm going to be one of those blind fans come Saturday and think our team has a chance to win..if we are mediocre as you say....should be a GA blowout...i'm not so sure you get it

If we had a decent HC and OLine I would trust the process. We have seen this movie before with miles and special Ed.

There is no process to trust. We are getting left behind in our own division. Keep special Ed another three or more seasons and see what happens.

Really? Barely beating Auburn is mediocre or worse. Letting LA Tech have a chance to win is mediocre or worse. Beating Miami is proving to be not a big deal at all. Losing to a mediocre Florida team is mediocre or worse. Nothing we've done has proven anything other than mediocrity at this point. I would say it makes no sense to say we are anything more at this stage of the season. Having hope is one thing. That's fine, but truly believing anything different is strange IMO.

I have given you plenty of reasons why I believe we're mediocre. Why don't you tell me something we've done so far this year that says we're anything more than mediocre.

LSU fans have always had a reputation for being somewhat fair weather fans. I mean, all fan bases surely are to an extent. LSU has a reputation among fellow SEC programs as being perhaps more of that than the average...quicker to jump ship and turn on the program. My theory is that LSU has a greater percentage of non-alumni fans than some other programs. I think alumni will stick with their school in down times far longer than some non-alum fan (who is solely and emotionally attached to a successful football program) will put up with losses. Could be wrong, I often am.

Lol

UF fans were wanting butter teeth gone the year he took you to the SECCG and the very next year. You just sold out the swamp for the first time since ‘15 so don’t come here and lecture LSU fans about being fickle.

You and the idiot that started this thread don’t seem to realize this is an occurrence within all fanbases except maybe Vandy.

Get out here with your elitist post.

We lost to a good Florida team ON THE ROAD playing in the swamp for the second year in a row and you’d swear we just got blown out by Tulane
but 70% of posters here said lsu would blow out florida because they are no good, "kentucky ran over florida, it will be a cake walk, florida will be lucky to score 10 points". so now florida is a good team because lsu lost to them?

I see what your saying and said you may be right but we are currently a top 25 team and been in every game. How many FBS teams are there? Florida/Miami/Auburn are not cupcakes and 2 were in there house. One play away from being undefeated. Home field is a big advantage. Our line play is underachieving so far but everything else is there. I honestly think it will be a tough row to hoe against GA this weekend. I also think it's safe to say there not elite but mediocre is premature. It's always better to be optimistic until we get a clearer picture....

I agree this place is a shite hole.

I used to frequent the paid sites espn recruiting, Tiger bait, and loved dandy don't, but this place just has so much more information before it hits the news.

The problem is your on the rant, the crazies are here. Both sides of every opinion all together.

Do one of two things or both.
1. Stick to the recruiting forum.
2. Only click on the main threads only not the bs arguments and wade through the bullshite.

Your choice

I never said they were cupcakes. If they were, we'd be in even worse trouble lol. They're mediocre or worse.

Sure, but there's nothing to be optimistic about atm. Yesterday was a bad day for LSU football. We lost to a mediocre team, Auburn got killed by a mediocre team, and Miami barely beat a bad team. So unfortunately the picture got much clearer yesterday. Again, it's great to have hope. All of us want to win. It's another thing to be content with the current state of affairs. There's a difference between having hope and being blind.

to the OP: some of us have very high expectations for our program, which isn't unreasonable given all the resources we have. Losing to UF, which is good but not great, isn't acceptable, if the goal is to win the West.

If your goal is to just have a good season then sure, losing to UF is ok. But this isn't the Florida of Spurrier or Meyer.

Thus the reaction.

. YOU AND REE and others like y’all think people like me HATE O. We do not hate O. We hate Orgeron as the head coach of LSU because he wasn’t qualified for the job, didn’t earn the job and has flat out lied to the fan base by hiring an offensive coordinator that had been fired twice and last coached as an OC almost 20 years ago.

We see the writing on the wall - Welcome to the ‘90’s.
We have invested far more money and time than swamp rats that support Orgeron.

People who really care about LSU get upset watching our team lose. We care about our school enough to be honest when there's a problem with its leadership and processes that land us in unfavorable positions with respect to being elite. We don't like watching our football program regress or remain stagnant at best.
