I don’t know if it’s entitlement, immaturity, alcohol and emotions or a mix of all the above. But the majority of you on here look like pussies and it’s pathetic. I know it’s nothing new, but this is embarrassing and borderline hysteria. You can be passionate about something without losing your fricking mind over it as well.
The sky is not falling people. All of you woke up this morning and life goes on. We lost to a good Florida team ON THE ROAD playing in the swamp for the second year in a row and you’d swear we just got blown out by Tulane. Were there some plays missed? Of course. Were there some questionable decisions made? Of course. That’s football. But I’m not sure what you expect out of O, you know what you’re gonna get with him and he’s not going to wake up one morning and become the next Nick Saban.

News flash: It’s hard to go unbeaten in CFB. Not many teams do it. Good teams can lose and still have great seasons. Did any of you honestly think we’d go undefeated with our schedule and how suspect we’ve looked at times this year? No. Not even the sunshines. shite happens and all is not lost, we still have a real shot at a 10-2 possibility even 11-1 year. It’s football, crazy stuff can happen.

But to all the miserable fans on this site, do yourself and everybody in your life a favor and don’t even watch the rest of the season. You think we suck so bad and we’ll finish out 7-5? It’s entirely possible we might. But why chance it? Don’t call me crazy for believing we have a legit chance of beating the #2 team in the country IN TIGER STADIUM next Saturday. And I could very well be wrong, but that’s why I’m just a fan. I’m sure most of you will have lost this pissy little brat attitude if we come out with the W anyway. Stand behind this team, remember many thought they would be 3-3 AT BEST at this point, the season is not over yet, hell there’s still half of it left. We’re just along for the ride.

Rant over. GEAUX TIGERS

Cliffs:
-Most of our fans should delete their TD accounts and/or grow up
-We lost an SEC rivalry game on the road that we had a chance of winning until the last play, first time that’s ever happened apparently
-Ed O is our HC, don’t let your emotions get too high or too low
-A lot can happen in 6 games
-UGA at home next Saturday is the perfect opportunity for a bounce back/statement game

We lost. Fans overreact after a loss. Don’t let it bother you this much.

What is wrong with the "fans" who don't understand that fans care, therefore they pay attention, and like to break down what happened, win or lose? Obviously when it's lose, you look at why. There's always a why. Why can't "fans" handle healthy discourse on why, and how to correct it? Maybe that's where you will find this immaturity you speak of. Because guess what - all fans, head in the sand or not, will still be pulling to beat UGA this week. It's not complicated.

Idk .. maybe if LSU would put out a 10-2 winning product for a change instead of underachieving meh.. winning solves everything

The posts that filled the score board yesterday were about as far from “healthy discourse” as you can get friend

There's always a reason why you lose. Fans talk about "how" and "why" did we lose. And there's plenty to talk about with the Florida game. For example, with Aranda's genius mind, why couldn't he figure out how to stop Florida's option? If they surprise you once with it, is the 4th successful option a surprise? This one play hurt LSU a lot at crucial times.

Good post but what is wrong with our fans is we've tasted the mountain top teh last 18 years and today, Saban is the mountain at this time in college football. It just a reality...we hate losing to the guy who stole our hot girlfriend.

We can not enjoy the season knowing our biggest rivals have proven HC's with championships and we do not...

I admit it's catastrophic syndrome. LSU fans just want to be relevant again...or at least play in a league that isn't already decided before the first kick who is likely to be #1 in the West... It used to be a dog fight, now it's just a survival for 2nd place...truth hurts!!!!

When we see we are not close to being elite, we vent on "rant"

I think we're a better team than last year...I really like Burrow...we're better than Florida, we are but couldn't get it done... that hurts too

we don't have an OL that can hold their blocks long enough...Burrow isn't quick enough to make defenses pay for being overly aggressive.

The defense does not have enough depth

Kicking game is the best part of the team....

We do not have an elite running back

we have elite DBs and WRs..

Not a complete team with an unproven head coach...we like O, but we want to win...

Looks like you have a problem with how some fans reacted to the Florida loss, and have some suggestions as to how proper fans such as yourself should conduct themselves. I have the solution for your problem: Write a condescending, novella length lecture on a fan message board. That will be sure to correct their thinking and bring them back in line.

Defense got raped and couldn't lay a finger on Franks for the entire game.

That's what has me most concerned.

have you seen their running game? Passing game? It's legit

way more complete team than UF...

we have home field, that's the only advantage we have over them..

half our fans won't show up...tickets are getting stupid expensive, day game, not good for TS

Didn’t read all of your bullshite but I’ll make it simple for you to understand.

LSU is a hotbed for attracting the best talent college football has to offer, they have done exactly that.

Les Miles obtained that talent and refused to evolve his play calling philosophy to accommodate such talent even though every program in the nation was doing just that.

This kept LSU losing 2-3 key games per year keeping them out of national title contention.

LSU fires miles because of that, rightfully so.

LSU promotes not only an unproven, but complete failure of a head coach. Even though LSU has the money to hire a proven head coach.

LSU wastes money on a hot OC, fires him, and promoted a guy no one in the country would hire.

LSU doesn’t look much different than it did under les Miles.

Can you understand why people are a little pissy?

LSU fans have always had a reputation for being somewhat fair weather fans. I mean, all fan bases surely are to an extent. LSU has a reputation among fellow SEC programs as being perhaps more of that than the average...quicker to jump ship and turn on the program.

My theory is that LSU has a greater percentage of non-alumni fans than some other programs. I think alumni will stick with their school in down times far longer than some non-alum fan (who is solely and emotionally attached to a successful football program) will put up with losses.

Could be wrong, I often am.

The last pass could have easily gone for 40 yards instead of being a pick-6 and LSU could have kicked a field goal to win 22-20. If that happened the nature of this team’s offense and defense would not have changed but the fans would have reacted as if LSU is the best team in the country. Fans overreact to both wins and losses.
