What is up with 104.5 and 104.9 lately? LSU talk radio.

Every morning, 104.5 is playing music from a different show and you can hear off the bench intermittently. 104.9 has been extremely static. In the afternoon 104.9 works well in Gonzalez but as soon as you get to Baton Rouge, it cuts out and 104.5 is better

It's the intercranial static of Mascona's big arse head interfering with the signal.

They said something this morning about a station from SE Texas had pointed their signal in this direction and it's interferring.

The best thing to do is turn the app on on your phone and listen to it that way.

If your car has HD radio then listen on 98.1 HD2. I haven’t had many issues locally.

You aren’t missing anything if you tune in between 7;00am and 7:30am unless you care about movies, music, Razor or Junior High and High school.
Between the poor broadcast quality and the useless banter the sports talk is almost non existent.

I always used to notice when I still listened to that anytime I was near powerlines (the light on bluebonnet and perkins for example) it was be unhearable.

104.5 has its broadcast tower in East Feliciana parish near Jackson.
104.9 has its tower near Donaldsonville. Neither station is really a Baton Rouge station although its studio is on Government Street in BR.
