What is the intangible that makes Jeremy Hill better than the other backs?

I think Ware and Ford are faster and just as strong. Hilliard maybe a little slower but more powerful, but ive yet to see Ware Ford or Hilliard bust out longer and more consistant runs like Hill. Is it his vision and cuts?

Hill runs hard for sure. Probably right behind ware in that category.

I know he's out, but blue had the best vision/cuts of them all IMO

Not sure we have been watching the same players. When have you ever seen Ware outrun DB's?

You nailed it. Hill's vision is what, to me, sets him apart from the others.

Vision, acceleration through the proper hole, and the forward lean he runs with. JMO after watching him in 3 games.

Yeah...Hill sure had a hard time outrunning the A&M secondary.

The "it" factor for a true freshman is outstanding, he has a quiet knowledge of how football should be played.

Hill's burst and acceleration are incredible. I could watch him run trough that hole on his long TD run against A&M over and over again.

Hill is faster than ware and hilliard...Beleive it, and its the difference b/w them without a doubt

Hill reminds me of deuce mcallister, because they're tall, big, longstriders with deep speed. They dont even look like theyre fast but they are eating up ground quick

his burst of speed and ability to find the open spots and hit them before the defense has the ability to close the opening. even in the open field. i don't find the other backs have the vision and quickness to find that opening before the defense closes it. one particular instance, and i know he's not a big part of the game plan is when #14 was given the jump pass option in the Florida game. Had he the vision to see the opening to his right he could have run in for the score rather then run straight ahead and get mashed.

I think personality has something to do with it. What is the RBs preference (contact, speed, jukes, etc.)

Ware....(4.1ypc, 3.9ypc in SEC games) loves contact
Ford.....(6.0ypc, 5.8ypc in SEC games) tries to use speed the most.
Hilliard.(5.9 ypc, 3.3ypc in SEC games) tries speed and power, but doesn't like contact as much as Ware
Blue.....(6.8 ypc, DNP in SEC) uses speed and jukes
Hill.......(6.7 ypc, 7.0ypc in SEC games) is a bigger slightly slower version of Blue, imo

Look at the ypc for our backs this year

Patience is what sets him apart. Coupled with good vision. I see Hilliard and ware consistently running into the back of their own o lineman.

Short of just being a stud with better field vision (which is very possible), maybe it's because there has been a lack of film on him? Defensive coaches can see tendencies and coach their team on them.
