Funny because as I mentioned I was a freshman in ‘68. Smoked enough in my time to know, it ain’t shite compared to acid which I did as well... None of it was worth it. It was childish boyhood bull shite. Grow the frick up.

Interesting. Marijuana was illegal in the 60’s as well. Don’t you think that makes your entire “DON’T BREAK THE LAW!!” shtick a little hypocritical?

It’s a tale as old as time - older adults using their own life experiences as reasons to hold kids to a higher standard than they, themselves, were held to. But your life experiences are what led to your worldview, and those kids are going through the same maturation process you went through.

Regardless of anyone’s views on marijuana specifically, one thing is true: kids do stupid shite, they always have done stupid shite, and they always will do stupid shite. Which is why, sometimes - especially when they aren’t hurting anybody - it makes a lot more sense to let them figure it out on their own.

Yep. I didn’t say what my consequences were did it?

I took a year “off” and got my shite together... I finished in ‘72. I had a year of college in ‘67 before LSU.

It isn’t worth and I broke the law and paid for it.

You took a year off because you smoked some weed?

Sometimes old people need to just realize how far out of touch they are with current reality and stay quiet.

This is one of those times.

The synthetic weed is bad shite. A powder is mixed with acetone then poured over a mixture of herbs, then allowed to evaporate. We used to get the powder by the kilo and herbs by the pallet.

It can now be tested for with a waffer that sits in your mouth for a few minutes.

College football players have a higher standard than the average college student The consequences are far greater.

They can transfer immediately without penalty now. The game has changed.

I may have misread your post. I thought you were getting at they should be held to a higher standard and thus have more exhaustive testing.

Nick never suspends players for weed

They’re just too afraid to let Nick find out! He’ll chew their arse out up one side and down the other. Dude doesn’t even drink a beer.

FIFY

That’s the real problem most people have - that LSU is holding our athletes to a higher standard than our competition and the NFL.

Many expect that under Biden, Canabis will be legalized on a federal level within the next 4 years. Within 2 years if Georgia elects 2 democrat senators.

High is different but k2 is making a comeback in the form of vape juice sadly. There’s plenty of boys and girls in the military who are also college age smoking it because they aren’t allowed to smoke real pot.

Other SEC schools don’t have mandatory suspensions for marijuana positives. That’s just a fact.

Just because you say it’s a fact doesn’t make it so. Prove it or shut the frick up.

So we should always follow the governments rules and mandates?

This is how I know you’re a kid. Playing college ball isn’t a right; it’s a privilege. If you want to play for a school, you follow that school’s rules. If you don’t, you suffer the consequences and it’s your own damn fault. Take some responsibility for your actions and quit going through life as though you should be able to do whatever you want, however you want to do it.
