LSU had two players this season have a bad reaction to synthetic weed because they can’t smoke regular weed all thanks to the compliance department. I know everybody wants to crap on Woodward to change the weed policy but this is out of his hands. Only people that can change the policy is the BOS at LSU. Players are smoking synthetic weed now since it can’t be detected but now that is harming the players. LSU needs to change the policy and get on a even playing field with the Bama and Georgias of the world who don’t have to deal with this problem.

Blame Woodward he 100% has all the power to fire our compliance dept and put in place people that will get rid of this shitty rule

Legalize pot and let them smoke. Better than alcohol, and this synthetic bs. Most people are just trying to chill when they smoke.

The kids could, you know, not smoke the synthetic.

So your argument is for the AD to change policy on something that is illegal?

Can't be detected? If memory serves, Honey Badger got kicked off the team for fake weed.

Synthetic is terrible and can actually kill you.

It’s a shame they are resorting to that crap. Cannabis will be legal shortly. MLB dropped it from band substance.

What is NCAA doing? Encouraging opioids is what they are doing.

Who was the player who was hospitalized early in the season...say a few hours before a game. Hes a good kid, all kids smoke weed now. LSU needs to adapt

This. But it’s an LSU issue, not entirely NCAA.

LSU will write a player an Rx for Vicodin but suspend them for marijuana. It’s asinine and dangerous.

You nailed it! Synthetic can definitely cause seizures too. It’s criminal that stuff was ever legal.

Rumor was that was the reason for Sting missing the Miss State game.

Pretty sure it isn’t our job to enforce that law.

So if they are charged with domestic assault, they still play because it isn't LSU's job to enforce domestic assault? Or do you just want to pick and choose which laws LSU should hold their student/athletes accountable for?
