Sounds good to me
If no one is named before playoffs, odds to up we’re trying to land someone from one of the playoff schools and Kiffin makes more sense.
Landry needs to stay the hell away from this process and stop mouthing off like a bumbling idiot
Trump picking the coach! My god what a moron

I’ve asked a couple times to people tied in with the program “if you had to pick who will be coaching LSU in 2026” I was given the same answer all five times. Lane Kiffin … and this wasn’t a guess according to 2 of them.
It is WAY too early to make any concrete predictions but it is overwhelmingly clear… LSU is going to do what they can to get Lane.

Kiffin is staying at Ole Miss and is currently renegotiating a substantial pay raise.
Jon Sumrall is likely going to sign with Florida or Arkansas.
So we get Key, Dilly or Wilson ? Is that your prediction

Ole Miss is giving him whatever he wants and he still hasn't gotten over the hump.
The key words in that sentence are Ole Miss. They are giving him what they can. They can't given him what LSU can and that is a deeper roster.
It all comes down to what he wants, comfort at Ole Miss or a real chance to win nattys at LSU.

Lane ain’t coming here yall needa let that shite go lol setting yourselves up to be disappointed just like with Lincoln Riley
I agree, this is a Lucy with the football scenario, just like Lincoln Riley was, and just like all the other Big coach names were that we never got.

" I think the "quiet option" is Jeff Brohm."
- I personally feel like Brohm would be a very good hire.

You keep saying this but Kiffin had the second most talented roster in country last year arguably top 5 minimum and he couldn't do anything but disappoint. I'm not sure why you and other keeps making excuses for him just because "he's at Ole Miss". Roster talent doesn't lie and he's not exactly surrounded by bad front office/coaches. The same ones LSU is poaching to get their NIL up to snuff to their NIL.

LSU isn't going to hire a new coach for another two or two and a half months.
While I appreciate tidbits, they're pretty much worthless right now.
Think I'll start paying attention when the college football season is over.

Landry wasn’t serious about that.

I am told this is not going to drive anyone away from taking the LSU job.
Unless someone has talked to every potential coaching candidate and agent, then there is no way to know that.
I’m not doubting the veracity of what is being said.

I mean, we could do MUCH, MUCH worse. I think he's my number 1 choice as a fan.
Tennessee - 53% win percentage
USC - 65% win percentage
Florida Atlantic - 67% win percentage
Ole Miss - 73% win percentage
He's matured and improved every stop he's made.
Thanks for the update, Philly!
He also got healthy and off of the sauce. I'm not a huge fan of his bravado, but the Theo Vonn interview that he did gave me some positive feelings about the possible hire.

They're making a big mistake if they're putting all their eggs in the Kiffin basket. He's going to leave us at the altar with a bucket of cash just like Lincoln Riley did. Except this time it's going to be in January after all the other coaches are gone.
I would think (and hope) that with the connections Kiffin has with the LSU side that he wouldn’t screw us by stringing along or agreeing then backing out.
I do sound naive though.

This is not my prediction because I don't think it will be Lane Kiffin. But Joel Clack of Fox Sports predicts it will...NBC sports predicts it will. So there multiple opinions of national analysts agreeing with the ones you found.

Wasn’t he also dealing with NCAA sanctions at USC from Pete Carroll?

Agreed his documentary the other day changed my mind on him. Think it’s the best hire.
