I know you really believe that but that isn't a factual statement and I don't think any coaches think like this. I hope Beckwith isn't as mentally fragile as some fans think he is or any player for that matter.
When Beck went down against Bama, the next play they ran for 20 yards right thru Welters wide open gap! But fear not, he had everyone aligned pee snap..
Ayer isn't even the 2nd beat mlb on our team.

Do we have anyone who's "ready" to play the most important position on the field?

Sooo....its all BH's fault??? And following this line of thinking....he doesn't deserve a second chance ever again...right??????????
Come on pops!

It's not the fact that Harris isn't ready or can't play.
It's the fact that Harris isn't good in Les' offense And that's what Les is going by.
The stubborn arse would rather let a good QB rot on the bench instead or putting in a spread package for him.

What is this "spread offense" that you speak of young grasshopper??? Miles knows not of this.

Beckwith stopped missing tackles because Miles and Chavis put their confidence in him. I'm sure it had nothing to do with changes to his preparation and practice. Jesus, do you people think life is nothing but a TV show? has reality television made the younger generation THAT stupid?
Jesus you are a moron. Playing the entire game allowed him to learn on the fly, get better and eliminate mistakes. If he had done that agaisnt lesser competition, he would have been ready for MS ST.
quote:
I've got one little nugget for ya.....you don't get the confidence of the staff when you're constantly missing tackles
Then how in the hell do you explain Welter?!? Beckwith had more solo tackles barely playing behind Welter. Welter missed more tackles and was driven out of more players than any MLB in recent LSU history. You seriously can not make this level of stupid up!
quote:
And if you're Harris, you don't get the confidence of the staff when you're being out-worked and out-prepared by the upperclassmen you want to beat out.
But you get it by shitting the bed every week and getting worse with every start you are given? I actually am able to follow you down on your level here because this would make sense if Jennings wasn't so much worse on the field than Harris has been.
quote:
If you want to PROVE you are better than the person you want to beat out, and you're not seeing the field as much as you would like you have to do it Sunday to Friday.
So prove it on every day except that one that really matters. Beckwith was better than Welter on gameday. Harris was better in his limited opportunities than Jennings has ever been. Both Welter and Jennings are of the weakest at their poistions in a long, long time at LSU. And our coach has no idea nor any desire to correct it until it's past the point of return.

miles has made corrections over the years but it seems like it's always a season too late
i.e.:
co-dc's
crowton
welter/beckwith

Dude I DOUBT Harris said he wasn't ready. He probably said he needs to work harder.
Every football player that ever was says that after a loss.

Yep. This is the issue in many ways. We have a lot of talent that is under-utilized. Creativity on offense is our friend and we ignore it.

As much as some of you want to play Ostrich and put your head in the sand (or up somewhere else) the fact of the matter is that neither AJ or BH had much experience at QB at LSU. However AJ is a Sophomore and has a full year longer with the Playbook and that is why AJ is playing.
That simply CAN'T be it. There has to be some, more sinister, explanation.
Everything is pointing to the fact that Miles just HATES Harris. It's obvious that Miles thinks Harris is some kind of terrorist, and that's why he's starting Jennings. That and I think Jennings proposed to Smacker, and that's why Miles is propping him up. He doesn't want some kind of loser to be his son-in-law.
So there you have it, Miles won't start Harris because he's a terrorist, and he starts Jennings because that's Miles' future son-in-law.
It's all SO obvious - right?
Oh, I also think that the facts bear out that Cam Cameron is a deaf-mute, and that's why he doesn't call the offensive plays.
Anyone who doesn't see all of this is delusional.

Glad to see you're finally catching on. Don't worry, it took beckwith and harris and a slew of other young kids) a while to figure that out too.
Under this regime, if you are a young player you will not supplant someone with more experience unless you prove it Sunday to Friday. Bottom line, end of story. How you people still have trouble comprehending that is beyond me.
To say the staff was clueless on when to plug Beckwith in when his play IMMEDIATELY improved after being the starter is ridiculous. If anything, their uncertainty of when to start someone is evident with Harris at Auburn, not Beckwith.

Looked pretty ready against Moo State.

Brandon Harris is a true freshman and needs time to learn the offense. AJ has problems as well but at least understands the playbook and how to get the team lined up.
quote:Has anyone ever considered that Cam is the one holding Harris back? He is the OC and the OB coach, so he would probably know more about the situation than Les. Harris and Cam are tied at the hip b/c Cam recruited Harris. When Cam feels like he has a total understanding of formations, checks, line protections, and defenses he will play. I look forward to Harris starting in 2015.
All you who just bitch to bitch apparently just think change is good just because it is a change. What part of the Auburn game convinced y'all that Brandon Harris was ready to be the starter?

Any player who is ruined by actually playing is not a player.
