What makes you think O can fix all of those problems that you think we have?

ETA: You can't answer. Because you know there is NOTHING that makes him qualified to fix anything.

Have you read anything I've posted?

I have no faith he can fix it.

My point is that, regardless of coach, we were in for a rebuilding year.

This is true.
We all know it , but the o haters narrative won't allow them to admit it.

I've said all along let's re-evaluate at end of the season.

I genuinely believe that the way the Miles situation was handled from the end of 2015 to him being axed after the Auburn game guaranteed a rebuild.

Either let Miles go at the end of 2015 or respect a title winner enough to "part ways" at the end of the 2016 season. No elite coach wants to step into that situation, especially not right away.

Regardless of how the fanbase feels about it, it sends coaches a bad message, and the hire we got shows that. That said, I'm not remotely shocked by rumors of O politicking for this and causing even more internal issues. Right in that guy's wheelhouse.

Ed O was no where close to my first, second or third choice. I honestly said, prior to Saturday, it would be best in LSU’s long term interest for him to lose to UF big and not win another game this year. That being said, when the game started, I was cheering loudly for the Tigers. After the game, I made a promise to my fellow LSU friends, I am going to enjoy the ride, good or bad..... and hope for success.

Going to watch the games for the rest of the season and let it play out..... hopefully we are all pleasantly surprised!!!

Why is it not OK to criticize a coach that you have no faith in?

All you insiders give us the list of big time coaches they were knocking on the door to coach at LSU?

Now you're just being obtuse. Or guess just showing everyone what a dumbass you are

Several national media guys have said there were big time coaches that would have taken the job. We don't know if that's true because alleava interviewed one guy then gave him the job. I'm pretty sure a coach with a better sec record than 3-21 would have taken the only power 5 football job in Louisiana, one of the top states every year as far as talent. Check out how many kids from LA bama has on their roster.

Anyone saying coach O was the best we could get is just plain wrong. He's the only person that got asked after alleva got butt fricked twice.

Les built a career on 4-0 & 5-0 records to start seasons with an upset here and there mixed in.

I’m not saying he would go 12-0 this season...but he would have beat a crappy Miss. St. and Troy. I have no doubt.

You don’t replace bad with worse.

It is ok.

It's perfectly fine. Why wouldn't it be?

It doesn't get to the root of the problem, though.

OMG, that is exactly what Charly McClendon would say, game after game, year after year, until our heads exploded. Did Nick every say it? Does he say it now ?

You need to ask yourself what can O do to help make things better, technically.
The answer "stay the hell out of the way" should tell you there are a shite ton of coaches, even FCS, that can actually add value to the team techically.

Sure it does. What good is it to point out all of these problems if you have no faith in the guy at the helm to fix it? That's where it starts.

I'm sorry to break it to you, but that's absolutely true. There were coaches who would have taken the job had the situation been handled better in any way. However, the way it was handled along with the state of the AD made LSU damn near radioactive.

With the way things played out, Ed Orgeron was the "best" LSU could get last year. That likely won't be the case when O is shipped off, especially if Alleva hits the road with him.

If we're rebuilding having a recruiting class ranked 16th with 18 commits won't help the cause
