I don't have a lot of expectations. I just want to see us continue to improve and be competitive. I would hope for an NCAA Tourney bid but if the team is competitive in the games but isn't able to finish the job and we become a bubble team and miss the NCAA tourney I'm not going to hold it against him.

Mediocrity. I think people are giving him way too much benefit of the doubt based on a few unexpected wins this season.
Think about the fact that this team is a freaking NIT bubble team

Tournament or bust. From next season on out it will be a disappointment to not make tourney, no more excuses

It all comes down to the portal once again. There should be no illusion McMahon is really building much from the high school ranks. He's brought in just 4 high school players so far (that are still here) in his first 2 classes, and has just 2 signees for 2024 right now and doesnt seem to be adding any more there. 1 of his 4 remaining high school kids he got is redshirting this year (Chest).
It's almost all about the portal with McMahon, thats where we will either hit it well and become a tournament team or we have misses like we did this year and live outside the tournament. There should be no illusion he's "building" anything here through the high school ranks by taking 2 kids a recruiting class and then 4-6 kids from the portal each year.

Well you have a few fans who don’t care how much and for how long we lose it’ll always be someone else’s fault. The truth is unless he changes and improves a lot this program has a very low ceiling and so far he hasn’t changed anything in the slightest.

Unfortunately I dont think Woodward would fire McMahon if he doesnt make the tournament in year 3. The excuse train for him will be pretty hard still so long as he doesnt fall apart and be one of the worst teams in the conference. If we got 6-7-8 SEC wins and miss the tournament, I bet he comes back for year 4.
Keep in mind the buyout even after next season is a pretty large amount - 80% of remaining sal/supplemental comp which he still would have 4 years left on his deal totaling $12.2M, which 80% of that is $9,760,000.
