honestly had covid not happened, and he didnt go on fox news pissing off and causing half the team to quit among the other storm of negativity that hit during that time. He could have better capitalized on the championship and had some really stellar recruiting classes, who knows what could have happened. But unfortunately we know what happened but on the bright side we have a more professional and better coach as a result that is doing a pretty good job rebuilding and picking up the pieces. However if you are asking if O could have won another one in this reality we live in.... No there is no way, the program was heading towards Tennessee levels of disaster and we had to make a change asap.

Please lower your expectations for Coach O. Just hope he can keep it all together and live a healthy and prosperous life.

He possibly could as a position coach somewhere, but he will never sniff a Power 5 championship as a HC.

He would need to get hired on somewhere for there to even be a chance.

That said I’ll say 0% chance

the college football world knows what O is. He'll never be hired as a head coach at a major program again.

Yes, 2019 was glorious - but it was freak luck. He got Burrow to transfer in (when NO ONE knew what he was capable of) and got Brady to come in for Burrow's senior year (after wasting Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, CEH, etc. in 2018). It was lightning in a bottle for one beautiful year, but not some masterstroke of program building.

After Burrow, Brady, and Aranda left, the whole thing collapsed, like many of us knew it would.

3.50% I’m sorry I got the decimal point wrong .350% He caught lightning in a bottle with Burrow and Brady, no chance he could replicate that again. Not to mention it would take him landing job at another blue blood program to do it and that’s not happening.

So you created a post to get people to throw shite at Orgeron because there has not been enough to satisfy your appetite. Right?

Better than the odds that Brian Kelly builds a team that can beat that one

No man, Just seeing all the things that had to go right for O to win a championship Makes me appreciate it even more. I just "knew" Bama was going to claw back in it and break my heart again...

Ed knew/knows who he is. He recruited players AND COACHING STAFF to win the title he won. He obviously got quite a bit distracted with his personal life once he won, and the results smacked him in the face quickly. Ill always think of 2019 when I think of O, always. But thats in the rearview mirror now……..and the guy we have is unbelievable. Go Tigers!

Leave Ed O alone! He won us a natty! He was put out to pasture, let him breed ho's and walk around Destin with no shirt. Maybe he does not want to coach again so your question is just meant to be a smart arse and rub it in on O.

You did hear Coach O is not the Coach at LSU now? It was in all the papers.

Only chance he has to win another Natty is to join staff at Bama. Saban rehab clinic might take him in for recruiting.

Why? Saban knows what O is. They would never hire him.

There’s no possibility, no matter what. He’s not going to find a guy as easy to manipulate as Joe Alleva at another school as established in college football as LSU. That’s how O got the job here and there’s no way he can talk around leaving two programs worse than he found them at this point.

Even if O could somehow get another P5 head coaching job, how in the hell would he hire staff? Did you watch the last two seasons? Did you forget how hiring assistants in the off-season went? The word is out on him and no one worth anything is going to work for him again. Without a great OC and DC, there’s no way he can win anywhere.

Just be happy about 2019 and put this to bed for good.

I would be surprised if Saban did this. He needed Kiffin because of his offensive knowledge and ability to revamp the way they did things on the side Saban doesn’t control 100% of.

Saban and his staff don’t have any issues recruiting and O’s preference and strong suit as a DL coach is with a 4-3 setup, which isn’t what they run. He’s done just fine recruiting in LA using his own connections. O has been proven to be a manipulative snake in the grass on a staff. Why would Saban bother?
