We’ve seen what this team is and isn’t - what’s your projected win total now?

We have some bright spots and I think the running game and offense will get better as the season goes. Snapping continues to be an issue and killed a red zone drive. Boutte could have had 2 TDs and dropped both. Jayden looked pretty good. The offensive line didn’t do him any favors and I think that made him look to run a little more than he wanted too. He can improve for sure, but he showed he’s capable. We need to take more deep shots earlier in the game.
If our special teams is even bad, we probably win last night. They were atrocious and will cost us at least 1 more game this season.
Defense was a mixed bag. The safeties looked better than they have the last two seasons. I think we’re ok there. Tackling was an issue in game 1 again. The corners were hit and miss. Not as bad as it could have been, but I don’t think we have that 1 stud we’re used to. Dline was solid, but needs to contain a little better. It was said in the scrimmages that the defense had trouble defending the pass in the middle of the field and we saw that last night. Absolutely killed us on 3rd down.
I initially had us going 8-4 with a win over FSU. I think 7-5 is still realistic, but it’ll be tough. We have to clean up the pass defense over the middle or MSU will feast on us. Auburn, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Florida are all winnable. A&M has talent but doesn’t know what to do with it.
We’re back to the year 2000 as a program. It’ll be an up and down season, but the future looks bright.

Same as before. The ceiling is 7 wins. The floor is 3 wins.

I'm sticking with my original 8-4. I think they clean some things up and end up with a decent season. Take away the two muffed punts last night and that's most likely a very different ballgame.

I was hoping for 8-4 or 9-3, hoping. Realistically I thought 7-5, and I'm sticking by that.

I want to see more carries by the running backs. Though that could be something to do with holding out until Emery is back. Cain looked decent at times but he runs like a fullback. Head down and just runs straight.
I still think 7-8 wins. Plenty of first game jitters and fixable issues. I will never underestimate the benefit of a tune up game again.

5-7
Clean up the mistakes and improve from week to week, 6-6.

7-5 tops. We won’t be above .500 in SEC play.

5-7 or 6-6 assuming we look like we did last night all season long but there’s room for improvement certainly

Where do some of you tards come from? To go 7-5 we’d have to finish 4-4 in the league.

Is 4-4 above .500?

5-7 best case most likely 3-8

Revising downwards from 9 to 7.
I really hope I’m wrong.

I think 8-4. They were a mess but the upside is still there. I was optimistic at 9-3.
Assuming, of course, that he spends less time emphasizing vitamins and salads and emphasizing remembering assignments.
Just cut one field trip to GNC and spend some time discussing picking up blitzes.
