Sorry if this is germans.

Well the genie is out of the bottle. The mystery is solved looks as if Key was enjoying his ganja intake.

quote:

“He needs to not smoke,” an NFC personnel director told Pelissero about Key. “For him, it is a big deal because it’s affected his playing career at LSU. The kid needs a lot of support and a lot of help.”

I know most people suspected this, as I also did, but it has finally leaked out what Key obviously told NFL teams with the comment above, he got caught smoking weed.

I’ll be honest

Leaving the team for the whole spring because he was caught smoking weed feels like an overreaction.

It’s weed. It should be like a 1 game suspension if anything.

If he was as ala-frickING-bama he would not have had to sit out at all. this shite pisses me off! they get away with it but we suspend our best defensive player for an entire spring for it.

For me personally the weed itself isn't a major deal

But is it too much to ask a kid to follow the rules?

This has nothing to do with Bama or another team.

Stuff is no different than a job that has a no drug policy. These kids have a full ride scholarship to LSU and are given every possible resource in the world to succeed on the field and in the classroom as well as a lot of opportunities in real life. Askin kids not to smoke pot, do drugs and other illegal stuff isn't a big deal to me IMO

Not really about weed specifically but that people can't follow the rules no matter how stupid you may think they are. This is life

This is what a crashing stock looks like, but hey, he’s keepin it real when talking to NFL teams.

Call me callous as some will say it’s an addiction and excuse his conduct, but with what this guy stood to gain as a pro, he made some choices that easily categorize him
as an idiot.

Asking anyone to follow dumb rules is going to lead to issues.

But like I said, you want to suspend them a game cool, but like what happened in this case was weird.

Also @chadboy do you know it was synthetic? That’s shot is actually fricking terrible for you.

I am all for allowing weed but how is it a dumb rule? If your employer asks for you not to do that, either follow the rules or suffer the consequences and find another job.

It doesn't matter what your opinion is on this stuff.

Some of you people continue to make excuses for kids who break the rule continuously.

Just reality of real life.

Breaking rules has its consequences, no matter how stupid we may think a rule is

I’m fine with legalizing weed but that’s not the issue here. The issue is that RIGHT NOW it’s against the rules, and someone who should have been a defensive leader had no chest and put himself and his need for pot ahead of the team. Hope he has a good NFL career but the dude showed his arse his last year as a Tiger.

Seems a bit much but maybe this stuff happened on more than one occasion and he couldn't control himself from doing this stuff. No pot isn't addicting. Point is if a kid continues to break the rules maybe he needed the time to fix his priorities.

Well thats my take

The issue is not whether weed is bad or good, or whether it should be legal or not. The issue is that if you are going to pay someone millions of dollars, you expect them to follow rules (and laws) and not do anything to jeopardize the team or themselves.

If Key can't do that while an amateur, how can he be expected to do it as a pro? I wouldn't touch him for that, and other reasons.

I always thought it was his dad's idea to make Key take a break and get his head on straight, whatever the issue was.

it’s a dumb rule to ban a natural pain killer in a league that subscribes opioids like skittles.

It’s a dumb rule. I am Not saying you should be able to do whatever you want and ignore an employers dumb rules without repercussion, but an employer making the rule doesn’t make it less dumb.

It doesn't matter if you or I think its dumb. None of that is relevant. What is relevant is a employer has policies and expects its employees to follow it. If you don't like it, find another job

This is real life, we may not like it but it is what it is.

Some of you have issues comprehending it.

Still doesn't matter if pot was legal nation wide, if the employer asks you not to, then you don't
