I here you , but I'm not just talking about breaking the rule. I'm talking about not having the self control to keep from breaking the rule. Sooo, what else will you have no self control over. Will you miss a meeting because you had to smoke weed, its a risk.

quote:

If there is no other issues

Thats a big if. That sums it up right there. Typically, weed comes with or causes issues. You may be functioning as I'm a functioning drinker. But doesnt make it ok to drink. Its still not a good thing. I'll never argue that just cuz I drink. And who knows how much better LT could have been if he had taken his life seriously. I think I remember him bottoming out at some point. That is not exactly a success story.

To be honest I dont give a rats azz what these players do. But if it was my money, my drug testing would be tougher than it is now. Josh Gordon and Leveon Bell are great players....but there are alot of great players. In a few years we wont know who those 2 guys are.

Ricky Williams was so baked, he wouldnt even take his helmet off for interviews. Dude was messed up and it showed in his career when he quit football to go smoke weed in his apartment. Sober players dont act that way.
Sober players are proven to be more reliable.

Emotionally disturbed players act that way.

Any evidence that Jonathan Martin did drugs? Not that I know Of but he certainly tanked his career.

Ricky Williams had severe social anxiety.

Ricky Williams loved his weed more than playing football for millions of dollars. This decision was not only directly attributable to weed, but was made purposely in favor of weed.

In Martins case, yes I agree people can have issues without drugs being a factor. But that doesn lessen the "weed affect" issue. It only adds to it.

I am Saying Ricky Williams has a lot more issues besides weed.

But you run that risk no matter who you pick.

But AldonSmith isn’t makingnowners install breathalyzers in their players cars.

Well I think they should if they show up to practice drunk.

But to be honest, it will show in their performance, if they are drunk. They wont last long on any team.

And yes you run that risk no matter who you pick, so why compound it by adding an addictive drug to the mix, when you already know he is addicted.

My god stfu about Alabama all the damn time. Some of you pussies can't help but to mention Bama when a thread has nothing to do with them. How do you let a ball game played by young kids mind frick you so bad?

you Keep saying it’s going to effect performance but constantly it is shown the only reason it effect performance is when they are suspended. It’s a self fullfilling prophesy.

If you are going to make a player choose between his career and something make sure that something is going to effect his job performance.

HAPPY 4/20.
I think it should be legalized and it's asinine that people spend long periods incarcerated for a weed.

That being said, I don't know a single pothead that is a truly motivated person. Habitual smokers just sorta "get by" with minimal effort. It's no different than my intermittently employed drunk uncle.

Let me rephrase by saying "people who cannot put it down".
I know I'm gonna get attacked by the smokers. So be it.

Bottom line- we're talking about Arden key, his lowered stock and his reputation. Be it earned or not. The reason? Weed. So, once again, just like Honey Badger, here we are. It's the common denominator.

IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THE RULE IS DUMB.

What matters is this- Key was going to be a top draft pick, and he knew what the rule was.

It doesn't matter if the rule is "sign your name with your left foot on every Tuesday", if that is what you know you have to do in order to become rich, you do it.

No I said alcohol would affect his performance. (Martin issue)

Weed will not affect your performance, it will only ruin your life and change your motivation for wanting to perform.
There is no debate about weed being a highly addictive, problematic drug. It will hurt your well being and indirectly affect your performance.

But Sammy, I dont want you to quit smoking all the ganja. It probably makes you tolerable. And I need more people like you and Arden to keep buying up all the weed, so I can make money in the stock market. That is not a lie.
