Look at that blocking in the gif !!
Watch Josh Williams (27). Chips before releasing, then hustles his arse downfield to go get another block when he realizes Jayden is scrambling.
He also later killed a guy on our last TD. I miss that kinda play.
Our OL blocking issues are well-known, but the skill guys struggle too. The TEs in particular can’t block for shite.

when Nuss takes his 2nd year jump like Burrow and Jayden, you will regret this!

I hope not. That stunt he pulled last season before their game against A&M basically trying to get in his own player’s head was ridiculous. Always crying about something.
Give me Dillingham over him all day.

I just wish a lot of you would admit when you were wrong. This applies to all aspects of life.
It's not hard. Watch, I'll go first.
In 2022, I was fully on board for a QB change. I didn't think Daniels was the way. I was let down when we found out he was coming back in 2023.
I was wrong.
The inability to admit that you didn't know something is a plague, and it's particularly bad with dudes in this state. We are wrong more than we are right on most topics.

Daniels had some really bad games at the start of the 2022 season. You pretty much had a QB room full of unknowns then.
lol wat
At the start of the 2023 season, Daniels had started 4 seasons in college. There was nothing unknown. People thought Daniels was who he was and Nuss needed to start. People were actually mad Daniels came back and blamed him for Walker Howard transferring

A LOT of receipts in this thread
The anti-JD crowd melting because they irrationally argued him staying is why Walker Howard left.
When I point out Nuss is why Walker left (praising him), they try to flip it into me being critical of Nuss, too

I like how the Nuss haters have flip flopped and inverted their talking points. During the season while bashing Nuss
quote:
So LSU is now the Mecca of college QB play? That's a joke to be sure. JD is not a championship QB. You will get a firsthand view of that, again, next year. Wait and see.

You have JD nuts firmly engulfed in your mouth. Been that way for awhile.

White Tiger is hilarious in there. If that guy tells me that the sky is blue, I’m going to have to think long and hard about whether I should agree with him.

So you’re saying the fanbase can be really ignorant and delusional about some things?
Posted on 10/19/25 at 8:33 am to SlowFlowPro
An d Tom Herman should be coach

That thread is just funny b/c the emotions were super high because we lost Howard
Hindsight bias for sure, but melting over a guy who went on to have one of the best seasons in CFB because we lost **checks notes** a guy who barely got the job at ULL

I agree.
I like Drink but he's a guy who seems to need time and we need more of a quick fix before the wheels come off.
I think we have to swallow our pride and take a chance on a young, innovator and possibly a coordinator. The "experienced HC" route got us stuck with BK and this albatross of a K. I don't want another expensive retread that we can't fire by year 3.
The problem with my strategy is avoiding becoming Auburn

Most of us just didn’t believe (at the time) that BK was that bad of a coach. Turns out that JD was just really good and made something out of nothing. Looking back now it was obvious that JD was phenomenal. I really don’t think Nuss is as bad as he looks right now he’s just in the same bad situation and lacks the athleticism to make it look ok.

I agree, but BK has failed to fix very basic stuff with him in year 4.
His footwork/mechanics are still horrible. He doesn't appear to read the field, either. Just very bad QB coaching/development (and an unfortunate injury)

I legit remember fighting with good friends daily in 2022 about Daniels. Then for 4-5 games in 2023. Now I’m fighting with them about Nuss. It is a never ending circle with LSU fans.
LSU fans are the dumbest fans in sports. We just convince ourselves via groupthink that something is the way it is, then we can’t adjust our thoughts
