They wanted to get Florida ahead of Ole Miss, that is why we slip. If LSU and Ole Miss hadn’t played yet, that loss would have sent Ole Miss out of the top ten.

I get that the rankings mean little right now but I don’t understand how a team that wins a game vs a top 25 team by double digits drops in the rankings.

Florida didn’t “blow out” Ole Miss until the 4th quarter. It was a good, hard-fought game for like 3 and a half quarters.
Sportswriters are probably like you though. They’re gonna look at the final score and think Florida curb stomped Ole Miss from start to finish.

I would have LSU #8. BYU ahead of LSU is an absolute joke until they play somebody. Utah Tech, Arizona, and Colorado State aren't remotely it. And LSU should be above Ole Miss because Ole Miss won by only 1 score at home against LSU and then gets dismantled by Florida. LSU blows out a ranked team. Florida should have moved up dramatically by beating Ole Miss in the Swamp but shouldn't have jumped 14 places IMO.

Did you watch the game? I did. Youre over compensating to hold a contrarian opinion. Yeah, it took 3 quarters but its not that simple at all. It was a sprint to the finish and Florida got ahead and never let off. Picking chamblis off when he was out there doing his best with 2 mins to go was a statement of dominance.

Josh Pate rips these polls every week at the hypocrisy behind them. He's going to love this one. He said they tried to invite him to do polls but he refused for this reason at how much hypocrisy is in them.
