It's hot, but it's not too bad if you stay in the shade. The humidity is nothing like you are used to in La.

The Oregon game was stifling. It felt unsafe to be standing on concrete.

If you come to the Dallas Chapter's Tailgate Party at Gilligan's in Arlington the heat won't be a factor. There are 250 seats inside Gilligan's, and outside we'll have fans, misted and tented seating, plenty of cold beer, free parking and free shuttle service to and from the game. Come join us!

DON'T tailgate outside. It'll be worse than you imagine. It's all white-hot concrete just like the rest of Texas. Get inside the stadium early. They have great common areas. I went to the Oregon game with the idea of walking among the Tiger tailgates. After two times around the stadium I started to feel like a set of bleached Longhorn bones.

I really don't remember it being that miserable for the Oregon game. Most of our group arrived early enough to get a spot in the grass along the perimeter of the parking lot. Had ample tents and cold beer to stay comfortable.
