As I said in a different thread, the trim, motivated, healthy, 207-lb, well-practiced, early-2020 version of Myles Brennen would have been a great fit for this team. Unfortunately that guy might not have existed in 2022 after he got torn in half, then shattered his arm, gained weight to 235, seemingly lost motivation, and fell two years out of practice.

You weren’t getting 2020 Brennan this year without a Delorean and a lightning bolt.

Myles 2020 didn’t exist by Spring 2022.

Our QB is A problem, but he's not the only one.

Our problem is (1) zero running game and (2) our DBs are almost never in position to contest passes.

No, you are the one making the accusation that you know more about evaluating QB talent than the LSU staff, so you tell me.

Brennan, in my humble opinion, is so immobile that he would be disastrous behind this OL.

And every time MB gets sacked you would have been blaming Kelly for putting an immobile QB behind this really bad OL and still calling him a moron. Your credentials speak for themselves in the coaching world. I’ll save everyone the trouble and list them for you here-
#1………?
#2……..?
#3…….?
Get the picture?
BTW, if I left anything out feel free to reply. I might have left out any awards you received from your coaching peers. You can list them here too if you like. Don’t just limit it to the media awards you received please

He quit football because he thought he is worse than JD and Nuss.

Myles. Quit. Football.

He lost the open competition and quit playing. Good grief man, he’d had two pretty brutal injuries and was very likely not the player he wanted to be so he quit playing. Stop acting like anything from Myles is a given

Brennan left the team by his own decision. "We"(LSU) did not "part ways " with Brennan.

Quitten brennan couldn’t hack it in the sec. No quality program wanted him. He wouldve been a liability, even he knows that.

You are correct. I’m surprised every elite qb in the country is not trying to get behind LSU’s 2 second OL to pass and then get the crap knocked out of him 3 seconds after the snap when one of those big defensive players arrives to hit him just as he lets the ball go.

Brennan would be hurt and out if action buy the third game.
Daniels is slighter than Brennan and leads the SEC in sacks mostly because he can't release the football early.

Brennan was also not the same the player he was in 2020. He played in 3 games in two years and had two injuries that severely limited his development. He didn’t look great in the spring or the fall and was beaten out by both Daniels and Nussmeir.
He looked 1000 times better than Daniels in the Spring, who seems to have regressed since then.

Issue with JD5, won't change, he is afraid of making mistakes.
It's no mystery why this team is constantly slow out of the gate.
The whole offense is playing scared, it is a leadership issue at the QB position. You have to be willing to sacrifice your stat line to get skilled players the ball.
Would this be an issue with Brennan at the helm? Imo, not so much.
We had more confidence at the QB position last two seasons, Bech was having a freaking coming out party last year and we have traded it for worse results.
If he's the guy, I'm rooting for JD5 to be able to improve on it but I see nothing that shows he will be able to.

Then explain JD leading the SEC in sacks? He doesnt seem very mobile at this point

Sacks are created when the QB holds the ball too long. Myles never had this problem

If Myles is so much better, wouldn’t he just go play for another school?

He left LSU on Aug 16th when he found out that the job was promised to JD to get him to transfer

Pretty much all schools had announced their starter for the year by then. So he had nowhere to go in his final year of eligibilty

BK and Denbrock effed him and Nuss over to keep them from leaving

Yeah, that double talk is BS. Screams at JD during the game because he doesn’t throw to an open Boutte on a post with no safety over the top and then says he was the bright spot on offense. Dude is full of shite.

This is correct, his body never fully recovered and he wasn’t going to make it in a full speed SEC game so he hung em up. He’d have easily won the job if healthy.
