The question for all the pollsters about LSU is whether LSU is that good, or whether Florida andClemson just suck. Having watched Clemson and Florida play this week, it seems a fair question.

LSU can make the debate moot this week. If LSU beats Ole Miss at Oxford, Few will argue that LSU is not a good team. Kiffin has transformed Ole Miss to a contender. Ole Miss is a tough out.

If LSU loses at Oxford, they probably are over rated as #3 team in the country. Ole miss is good, but not special. How are going to beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa and Oklahoma in Norman if you can’t beat Ole Miss in Oxford?

That said, the Clemson and Florida wins give LSU a nice cushion. LSU has a tough schedule. A two loss LSU team is likely a shoe in for a playoff spot. Ole Miss is not a must win game. But if you beat them in Oxford then your chances to make the playoffs go way up.

Something is seriously wrong with Clemson. Hopefully it’s just that LSU broke them and deflated their spirit for this season.

We are good even if we lose. Losing to #13 on the road doesn't instantly make your 4-1 record bad. With that said, Tigers roll Saturday!

I tried telling people they weren’t a good team but everyone wanted to believe they were elite so we could hype ourselves up.

They returned a lot from last year but they were 1-4 against teams with more than 7 wins and we all pretended that because they ACCed their way into the playoff last year that they weren’t a dumpster fire.

If LSU beats ole miss people will still say ole miss was overrated. Something along the lines of “well their defense is bad and they haven’t played anyone yet”. Don’t you know this fanbase?

So true. After we beat Bama in 2019 it was “Well Georgia is Ackshully the team that is a bad matchup for us…”

Until the offense is more consistent, LSU could go beat Bama and a group of pollsters and opposing fans would say….well, Bama is down.

If LSU goes to Oxford and pulls out a win, we will immediately begin hearing Ole Miss is down.

Shoo-in, unless you’re referring to a UF penalty.

I think to the rest of the nation and a lot on this board, LSU is on fraud watch.

Which I think isn’t undeserved. We haven’t excelled in one major aspect of the game, and the Ramos is also shaky as hell.

Ole Miss defense is just average….it worse than Clemson and Florida’s defense….it might be worse than Tech’s defense….we should be able to put up points on OM.

I think us that actually watch our games and have followed college football for a while know we a have a pretty good team. We have an elite defense and an offense with potential that is struggling, mainly due to OL play. As someone else said on here, right now they look good but not great.

Kiffin has transformed Ole Miss to a contender.

He has lost less than 3 games twice ,as a hc,in his entire cfb career.

He has probably had the more talented roster the last 3 years and he is 1-2 vs lsu.

You are right. Some will say that.

But I definitely think this Saturday will tell us a lot about our Tigers.
Ole Miss is well coached and will test every aspect of our defense with their dynamic offense.
And Ole Miss actually looked like a complete team against Tulane with their defense playing pretty well.

I like our chances.
Defense has been really good at every position group and Blake Baker has proved capable of making in game adjustments which will be crucial probably every week from this point moving forward as we begin to play really well coached teams.

And while offense has certainly had its issues, they have demonstrated their willingness to fight for four quarters. Plus Ju’Juan Johnson showed some promise running the ball this weekend. Receivers will have to make the tough catches though. Can’t be dropping passes like they did against SLU. I think they’ll do fine though.

Let’s go beat ole piss.

We literally have one of the best defenses and special teams(we might have the best punter in cfb)in cfb.

No Ole Miss is not an absolute “must win.” But we lose this game and our margin for error just got a helluva lot smaller.

Yeah our defense has looked extremely rocky at times right?

The same can be said for any contending 4-0 team right now.

They’re probably the worst of the remaining away games. We can’t have 3 losses so we have to beat Ole Miss.
