100% agree. I would say the eclipsed 90% of the offenses that Les Miles fielded as of this past weekend. I still think they have a bit further to get past that 2007 offense.

LSU will need all three phases to win in the SEC. Special Teams has to improve, or will costs us games.

This was essentially Les Miles MO. Nasty defense and chew clock with the run.

And flip the field w/ punting and the punt return game.

I think if you made some of our current WRs DBs, this offense is the one Les imagined he was building every offseason.

But to answer the OP- I agree, this D is good and can be ridden as long as the offense continues to evolve and be somewhat imaginative (with execution of the tweaks) so that as opponents build up film it remains difficult to counter.

Wide open . Lol ok. We lose to Omiss, and Alabama. Though I hope I am wrong.

Us losing 2 or 3 more games doesn't mean the west isn't wide open. No team other than Bama looks to be complete meaning every team has weaknesses that can be exploited.

I agree, not because LSU is so strong, but I haven't been impressed with any of the SEC teams offensively except UT. But UT defense is suspect.

Same. Bama is probably the most complete but they all have issues.

Can we get by Auburn 1st? Those games are normally closer than they should be.

AU is a very bad football team this year. They’re 65th in pass D. 52nd run D. They can’t pass.

I think the general consensus has drastically shifted after last Saturday’s impressive performance. I’m not seeing anyone saying 9-3, or 8-4 anymore. Definitely no 7-5 predictions. 10-2 is what I’m seeing more and more of and after last night, that seems like a very solid prediction....

Matt House has been the MVP of the this young season.

He has been phenomonal, especially in the second half.

The West is not that wide open. Why is there never any middle ground in anything? Catastrophe in loss 2-10 after FSU. And a national title after a win against New Mexico. 9-3 would be so dope. I’d love 9–3. 8-4 wouldn’t be bad.

Les’ 2007 offense was better than this one. They mauled a good Ohio State defense.
