We are an Oline away from being a good team.

Rewatching some of the film has me realizing there is a lot to like about this football team moving forward. The play calling wasn’t as bad as I originally thought and we had lots of opportunities for big plays.
Defense played good enough to win on a night that will likely never be replicated for Jordan Travis (how do all QBs have their best game against us?)
Many of the mistake we made will be fixable and should have been expected with a realistic outlook. Breaking in a new C, true fresh LT, transfer guard, and new QB was always going to be difficult.
Judge this team by how the progress throughout the season and we should have a good time.

And some good Linebackers. And a true lockdown number 1 corner we usually have.

OL is far from the only issue on this team.

I'm surprised how quick CK gave up on trying to run. Pretty sure, he didn't even try to start.

Ehhh I think we're more than that. Linebackers look like they're a problem again. The rebuilt secondary is still relatively untested despite a solid game against FSU. D-line without Maason Smith is a question mark.

I'll agree with you that the O-line is crucial to having a better season. They can't play like they did against FSU and hope to win, honestly, any games in SEC play. But it's a new group. It's a less experienced group so it'll take some time.

Shitty developing o line.
Disappointing d line.
Barely any linebacking talent.
No run game.
Yep, we’re so close.

OL played well enough to win if thr QB would step up in the pocket and stop being twinkle toes.

I'm pretty much off the Mike Jones train

he's not a bad player by any means, but for the hype he had I'm not seeing the elite-ness we thought MJ would bring

still very happy he decided to come play for us

I think we’re a good OL away from sneaking into the top 25 here and there. But we have too many issues to be further up than that

They did away with what he was good at at Clemson. He was in that hybrid nickel safety role and he was really good at it. He didn't want to do that here because he wanted to be a more complete pro prospect but it hasn't worked. Let him go back to what he thrived at.

You have to help them too. You can’t throw it 80% of the time and expect a new line to give perfect protection. 13 run calls isn’t even trying and Daniels should be involved in the running game instead of just scrambling 16 times to get his yards.

This is what I mean by being a good team. It’s all relative. 6-6/7-5 type season would be a success considering all things. Are there more problems than OL? Of course. Our Lbs are very very bad but we can still win games with our current defense. If our OL blocks well we beat FSU by 3 scores

We have a good offensive line. This is the hardest position group to come up to speed and work as a unit. It will get there. Meantime the QB has a lot of work to do on trusting the offense, and the WRs probably have a lot of improving to do. We saw some dropped balls, but what we can’t know is when they ran the wrong routes.

If the defense brings numbers, the WR doesn’t read it and break off his route, and the QB has to run for his life, the fans say the line sucked, but that’s not what happened.
