Too bad Collis Temple II didn't have any more sons or AAU kids and Butch Pierre didn't have any other godsons

But people who say he wasn't mediocre because of the one final four run are full of it.

Brady, Stansbury, and Gottfried were like triplets.

That team was so hot.. beat Florida in the O Dome and broke into the top 25. Then they came back home and got rolled by Auburn. Lloreda breaks his ankle and quits and goes to Columbia or whatever the frick to try to rehab for the NBA.

Yes...Brady got us a final Four appearance...yay!!

Aww frick it..Collis Temple Jr got us that Final 4 and you know it.

Other than that perfect storm of Baton Rouge talent ..Brady sucked pretty bad. His teams played decent defense and rebounded well...but were completely inept on offense and boring as hell. Thank god he and TJ are gone.

In my mind it's still 2005 for SEC basketball.

too bad Trent couldn't utilize any connections or the good ole boy network to get us some talent. Don't really care how he got the players to LSU. He did and basically did what he was supposed to do with them.

hey now, don't forget about 1935

But seriously, I'm not willing to go that far yet, but I have no problem seeing at least a Final Four run if he keeps up what he's done with what he had this year.

Maybe we'll play Brady in the N.I.T.

Oh man the meltdowns if we lost, but the satisfaction if we won

I root for Brady's squad for the most part. Trent though... frick him. I despise him with a passion. That guy couldn't have given two fricks about this program. Either that or he was the most insanely idiotic recruiter in the history of SEC basketball.

Can we please host and play them here? I'd make damn sure I was at that game, the reaction would be priceless. And then you have certain students who probably wouldn't know who the hell John Brady is (hope you know who I'm referring to).

He cared but an idiotic recruiter. Actually an impressive speaker in person (Xs and Os) but I don't think he had any real connections recruiting in the South and not a dynamic personality.

"Alright TJ, we have 4 scholarships available for next year"
- recruit 2 players

"OKAY, TJ, we now have 5 scholarships available for next year"
- recruit 3 players

"FINE, THIS IS IT, TJ, WE ARE GOING TO HAVE 6 SCHOLARSHIPS TO GIVE OUT FOR NEXT SEASON"
- recruit 1 player before "resigning" late in recruiting season

I honestly think he TRIED to get more recruits, and just struck out with every prospect he was after that would have benefitted us at all. The fact he let Gathers, Brown, Galloway and Williams get away in that short amount of time sickens me.

and he didn't fill all of his coaching positions. And when he did he filled a spot with a 90 year old.

One thing you have to give Brady credit for is his teams hardly ever lost the close ones in the ncaa tournament or nit. If they were going to lose, they'd get completely dominated. See wisconsin, purdue, uab, ucla. Ball st didnt really dominate lsu, but they did hit 400 threes in the pmac and had no business winning.

Ill be the first to admit Brady had some down years but that 1 season, for me, helps me forget about all the crap. Do y'all realize how many great coaches there are who have never and will never make a final 4? I'm 100% sure jonny jones will never be a final 4 coach.

To those of y'all giving all the final 4 credit to butch Pierre and collis temple for recruiting, why couldn't dale brown get out of the 2nd round with Shaq and stanly Roberts and Chris Jackson ?

you've just lost all credibility. Jones is literally recruiting with the best in the nation. To say you're 100% sure he will NEVER be a Final 4 coach is utterly fricking ignorant.
