IT pro here, Uverse is terrible. I go to a lot of home/commercial installations, Uverse is slow and unreliable.

In a hotel in Portland, OR--no problems watching at all on my laptop on WatchESPN app.

So I've been having issues with U-Verse and watchESPN all year just like every one else. Looks like it may have had something to do with new security cameras. Changed some of the upload/record settings and my freezing issues appear to be gone.
Ya'll may want to double check all of your IoT-type devices. I had these same cameras last season but have added 1 more since.. Uverse doesnt have great upload speeds and that can definitely affect streaming. One new device in the house could be enough to negatively affect the stream

I just tested my download speed and it's fine. 48+
Do another test and look at the Ping. Anything over 50ms is bad. This is where UVerse really blows. Jitter and latency like crazy.

U-verse here w/chromecast...no problems tonight or this past weekend.

Mine hangs up a couple of times a game. I have to start a different stream and then go back and start the one I'm watching. It's far from unwatchable though. It's not the WiFi because I use ethernet.

I have U-verse. I get 55 Mbps and my ping is fine. I can stream video in perfect HD on 20 different apps, websites and device combinations and never have a problem.
But with WatchESPN it is terrible, blurry and freezes constantly it doesn't matter if it is on my ipad, firestick, or computer.

I have trouble too! Maybe because I live in BAMA!

UPDATE: i wrangled with uverse support mon and tues. to their credit they did call me back today.
end result, i don't know what happened but, the quality today has been excellent. about what i would expect - no pauses and great resolution. that's what i'm paying for. i'll be checking it the rest of the week and watching this weekend of course.

JESUS....soooo many varibles one can't keep track of anything or connect without multiple variables !
Why can't the tech world get on ONE page...manufacture a product that WORKS consistently instead of constantly trying to push bogus "upgraded"/non beta tested crap ?

Geeeeezus the pic quality is garbage tonight. Are they filming this game with a potato?

I was just going to jump in a say it works fine for me most times and then - it crapped out on me. Reset it and it's back on.
For each game I watch it probablywill freeze once per game.

WatchESPN via Chromecast for like 3 years with zero issues. Every game is perfect HAD and never have buffering. Cox Internet.

I was planning to call Uverse tomorrow if the quality wasn't better today but I've had no issues so far and the quality is great after giving up and listening to the games last weekend because the quality was so bad and wouldn't stop buffering.
I did email ESPN and they claimed everything was good on their end.
