I have ATT 100MB and it regularly clocks over 125 MB up/down. Well away from router on phone downstairs or on the deck it hits 80+ regularly. Wireless to Firestick downstairs in entertainment room no problems with WatchESPN this year. Some of the shitty CST midweek games have a little foggy look to them, but this weekend has been crystal clear 1080p. Maybe some need to reset or update their Firestick, I always use it plugged into an electrical outlet.

Try deleting the app and download it again. On firestick if I access WatchESPN from the recently viewed bar it sometimes locks up. If I scroll down to the Apps bar and open the app from that location I have never had a problem. Realistically you should be getting a good picture at 20 MBs wireless, go figure.

when i watch espn over sprint lte, it's great. when i turn on wifi, the picture immediately gets blurry and starts pausing

That means it's an Internet issue. It's not a roku issue if some people's work fine and others don't. I've had issues last year with my roku but this year it's been flawless. Same on iPad.

If you are having issues with ATT equipment tell them you need a new gateway/router. Tell them it is giving you trouble on multiple points. I had some slowdown issues with them on 45 mbs when a lot of people in the neighborhood were home + went through 3 gateways. Since upgrading to fiber no problems. We get a lot of electrical microsurges and even with battery backup/surge protector ATT hasn't lasted well, typically 9-12 months.

Tbh, I don't know, it's kinda weird. Last year when I had issues on the roku, I'd put it on my iPad and it was fine.

The windows 10 espn app is pretty shitty, at least as far as connection goes. It looks nice but I have to restart streams a lot. Sometimes the event names will change from LSU vs scrubs to something random like Princeton high lacrosse or something. Browser pretty much always works though. Also fwiw I found the espn3 Kodi app to work surprisingly well
