Watched the 2019 LSU/Bama game for the first time

I was in BD stadium for that one. I’ve seen highlights. I had never watched the full game until yesterday.
As awesome of a performance as Burrow gave, Clyde was just as valuable.
The announcers talked so much about Bama’s WR corps. Not that they ignored ours, but it sounded like if they had to choose between the two, they would have taken Bama’s.
A young Cordale Flott came in for an injured Kary Vincent and played very well.
I forgot M Divinity left the team just that week.
The Thaddeus Moss catch at the one, while amazing, was a call that went in our favor. I think we score on that drive regardless, but likely not 2x. Glad it went our way.
Just a fun watch getting me pumped up for the season.

Bama was pretty lucky with a few flukish TDs…
punt return TD where the facemask helped him, the Smith TD with the silent count where Stingley was looking at sideline, the last TD with Aranda’s terrible call

yup. aranda shoulda been in 3 man playing way off and not press. huge frickup by him.

In '18 we didn't even look like we belonged on the field with Bama. In '19, the first TD drive just looked so easy.

Was in the stadium as well. After the game all the bama fans were like “man we knew about burrow and your wrs but who the frick was #22?”

Should have been worse honestly. That mercy knee at the end, helped kept that game looked closer than it was too.

Many folks love Aranda but his defenses could be hit or miss. He had a helluva lot of talent to work with. I think someone called him "the professor" but it seemed that he overthought a lot of crap. and was better when he kept things simple.
I know we were banged up for Ole Miss but Plumlee put up over 200 yards rushing and their RB almost got a buck fifty.

That TD run by CEH was unbelievable. The balance was insane.

The sack fumble in the 3rd quarter stalled what could have been the nail in the coffin. Then the next drive Burrow missed Chase on what could have been a huge gain or possibly a Touchdown.
Bama had some fortune go their way in the second half. But when it mattered most our team scored on the last two drives that sealed the game never allowing Bama to have the ball with a chance to tie the game.
But we could've and probably should've beat them by more than we did.

I re-watched it the same day (...and countless times since.)

I been watching all of the 2019 games the last few days, CEH was unbelievable. Not sure we win it all without him.

That 4th quarter was incredible by LSU. Multiple times Bama made it a one-score game, but LSU kept scoring

Bama OC fricked up.
Harris averaged almost 8 yards a carry. They should have given him the ball 10-15 more times. Bamas D couldn’t catch a breather.
Instead they wanted Tua to have a Heisman moment that never came.

We don’t win that game without CEH. His performance especially in the second half is what did it.
Burrow would have had a career game and Saban ruined it just like he ruined everything for us.

I don’t think it was a terrible call. Stingley had Smith man to man and did not have to cover the short routes. Just don’t get beat deep, which is exactly what he did.

There were 3-4 plays where the Bama defense blew us up at the line of scrimmage and should have been losses but Clyde just made em miss. Pretty critical down and distance plays too.
And the ball he scooped off the ground and then made the first down an key third down was a huge critical play to keep that scoring drive alive.
Clyde to me was the MVP of that game.
