Wasn’t there an infrastructure issue at the SLU game last year?

I seem to remember a radio or tv link that was buggy, or maybe a power issue?

I searched and couldn’t find that answer, but I did read that game was Gavin Guidry’s first time on the bump in relief for LSU.

IIRC, they didn't have cameras.

i think they had some type of data breach that bricked their technology for a week or so.

The lack of stream last season should have precluded SLU from hosting games against LSU for this season and future years

Yep. I believe it was the only game last year we were not able to watch in some sort of way...

I agree.

Too many programs in state to give another chance to a bunch of yokels who can't get their shite together.

Exactly. Now we go right back there again no guarantee that we'll get any coverage and if we do at best it will likely be a stationary webcam somewhere up in the grandstand behind home plate.

Meanwhile there's almost no tickets on the market ahead of the game and if you find one of them the price has been more than quadrupled

They claimed some illegitimate reasons, but at the end of the day they had an old boomer Sports IT guy that didn't do his job and was force retired after he cost selu money for not airing it.

It was like the olden days, we all listened to the radio
Those that didn’t have the radio followed the BPB thread where Cheer guessed if balls were high, low or outside

I was finishing up grad school there last spring and can confirm that there was a massive security breach and it took almost a month to get email and internet secured. I was told there was some significant federal presence involved for the investigation.

If I remember correctly their campus had been hit with a cyber attack so they were still having internet issues which did not allow the stream to happen.

That sounds like a really big deal. But it’s going to take a hell of a lot more than that to justify me not being able to watch LSU baseball.

Doubt it’s any better. Could barely send iMessages during the HS girls basketball tournament last week.

Data Breach on campus. They had to shut down all of their internet therefore couldn't stream it to ESPN.

Lol you took what I said in another thread and twisted it.

He wasn't forced to retire--he was already planning on it.

And as far "not giving them another chance", that is dramatic. Their campus wifi had literally been down for a whole month right before we played down there. They probably get a general pass for not having everything totally 100% for a damned baseball game.

Guidry pitched in the 9th against Butler in the 12-2 Skenes’ win on 3/3/23. Run-rule win against Southeastern was 5/2/23.
