He was run off by BK, right? Just like Bech.

I hope Ole Miss goes 0-12 every year. Any LSU fan should.

Ole Miss fans are as clueless as LSU fans. Jilted Lovers! A few months ago, Howard was the "most talented QB on the team". Nuss was the least talented.

And then we watched them play.
Howard was highly rated coming out of high school. Unfortunately many people here (and other fan bases are just as guilty of this) believe that means he’s definitely going to be a great college QB. The reality is that very few college QBs are “great”. Most are average at best. Few are real NFL caliber QBs. The QB position is the hardest position to evaluate because a kid can have all the talent in the world but if he isn’t willing to work hard to improve and learn the things he needs to learn, he isn’t going to become a great QB (JaMarcus Russell says hi).

Howard at the moment is not on the level JD or Nuss is. That’s just a fact. He may become better, that’s up to him, but he is currently not even close to their level.

The question is why was WH stuck on the scout team? I think the answer is obvious.

Because he was a true freshman coming off of an injury.

I'd rather he go to Ole Miss than Florida.

He could probably have saved Sun Belt Billy's job at Florida, now their QB is a mess and will likely remain a mess for a year or more.

If UF has another losing season in 2023 (giving them 3 in a row), not sure Billy Boy survives.

At Ole Miss, Baby Howard will, at best, assuming he starts anytime soon, help Ole Miss compete for 3rd place in the SEC West.

All I’m saying is that it’s his choice to go somewhere and has a better chance to play. He realizes that he is behind the 8 ball here. I don’t believe it’s about not competing when he knows it will be at least a two season wait.

I was shocked at how shitty Howard looked in the bowl game. It was like he didn’t practice all year.

Maybe that’s why he left. He didn’t get good reps at practice? I thought I heard something like that when this rumor first surfaced after the season ended.

What are the chances that Lane signs some stud QB next year out of HS or a more experienced QB through the portal and screws Howard over? LOL. You know it will happen.

Totally this. I would respect this move if he was moving to a smaller P5 or even a Group of Five school with playing time assured for next season. But how is this move to Ole Miss right now after his redshirt freshman season any better for him than staying under BK?

If he had the confidence he could physically and mentally mature enough to beat out JD and Nuss he'd still be here.

Let’s face it, in the history of the transfer portal, how many kids that transferred out had major success at the school they Transferred to?
ask Joe Burrow, Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, Jalen Hurts, Caleb Williams, Justin Fields, etc, etc, etc.

bullshite. He still practiced.

It’s his own fault he was stuck as 3rd string and running scout team. If he was the better QB, he would have been moved up on the chart.

It’s like y’all think BK had some vendetta against him or something. Like he looked at Howard and said “this kid is a great QB but frick him, I do t like him so I’m going to drown him in the depth chart and limit my chance of doing the one thing I came to LSU to do and that’s win a national championship”. Like that even makes any sense but unfortunately it appears that it dies make sense to some of y’all. I can’t tell if it’s just because you love a conspiracy theory or you’re just fricking ignorant or both.

What should a third string, true freshman QB who was redshirting have been doing at practice instead?

I won’t disagree with this. But melting over a freshman that won’t really get a chance for at least two years and chooses to leave seems kind of childish.

THIS! You idiots wishing him well. Nope... I wish him nothing but grass stains and tired legs from running from Perk. Let Lane deal with an overbearing daddy who wants to run his kid like it's travel ball.

Jaxson and Walker.... Travel ball bois. Wonder if daddy will hold him out on the field after every practice to tell him what he did wrong like he's his real coach. Go to Hell Old Miss. I don't wish any West team luck except us.

Florida would have given him anything he wanted to save their shitty QB situation According to one of the UF 247 mods, Napier reached out but Howard didn't even want to visit, he "didn’t want to go to a place where he just felt like emergency relief and wasn't prioritized earlier"

That shows how desperate Napier is. Says way more about how shitty Florida is right now than how good Howard is. Napier will probably be fired after next year.

Fair enough. Then let me revise. I'm not going to ridicule a MAN for making a decision he thinks is best for his life...even if I may think it is an unwise decision.
