With any possible opportunity some people choose to whine, moan, and bitch about whatever. We have a bonus home game and the chance to enjoy our team and support people facing adversity and we have many vocal people pissing and moaning about random details. Nice people.

short notice + relatively high prices + mediocre opponent + balls arse hot weather = little motivation for anyone outside of diehards to go.

seriously this. It's really not complicated. I used to live and die LSU football so i understand the die hards. But a lot of people make plans. Breaking them isnt really an option and most wouldnt want to even if they could.

Since this is not an LSU home game, they can't process the tickets thru their regular computer programs or their season totals will be skewed.

In a matter of days they had to throw together a barebones system to sell upwards to 100,000 tickets. LSU seems to have done an incredible job of making tickets available to everyone so quickly.

We are dealing with possibly billions of dollars in damage and lives disrupted for the better part of a year and someone is whining because they didn't get their way at a football game.

You can whine later. Now is the time to step up to the plate and help the people who so desperately need it!

I figured this game would be a tough sell for tickets. The decision to change venues came too late. Unfortunately, from a home crowd enthusiasm level, this works in favor of USCe. In addition, LSU tickets and concessions are very overpriced. I know, have to do it to compete with the big boys.

this

I would love to jump on this opportunity, but its hard rearranging weekend plans when you have a family, especially on 3-4 days notice

Who is keeping the parking tag money? That is $40 a pop I believe. Haven't seen that is going to SC. If you think LSU is losing money on this from a sense of charity I bet you are wrong.

You are a terrible poster. Just thought you should know.

Of course LSU isnt losing money on the game. Where did you get that bright idea? From the fact that they said they were recouping their expenses?

They're not making money either though.

Not sure I buy this...but why does it matter? Tickets are already assigned this way...why wouldn't it have been easier to simply address them this way than have to issue gen pop tickets? If you're part of the ticket selling process and know for a fact this is a software issue, then fine. Otherwise, this feels like an unlikely reason.

Had you said that they did it this way assuming there would not been enough demand to warrant opening the decks, and since there are season tickets holders like me in the decks they needed a system so that they, as well as those in the bowl, could buy tix gen admission was the only way...that I'd agree with. I'd still think demand would have been higher if they had done that, but I'd understand the need for that system...

I'm not whining...at all. I'm generally the most positive, Polly-Anna poster on this site.

See above...no need to White Knight on behalf of LSU where I'm concerned. Save that for those who need to be turned back in the right direction.

No doubt...what part of my post suggested otherwise?

Got my seats. Probably should have texted buddies about all going together or something.

Hope more attend.

I like your reasoning. It's sound.

Not on my high horse but if $40 is too much for someone they probably shouldn't go. Otherwise, fans will be able to get free parking and bring in a bottle of water. That's reasonable.

Us OT ballers would pay $100 to see the tigers play.

$40 upper deck seats against a bad opponent isn't what I'd call a deal. But hey to each his own.

Like I said earlier in the thread, SC set the prices and they have no incentive to get more butts in the seats for lower prices.
