Catcher, tossing new ball to pitcher, 'Don't worry about that. That ball wouldn't have been out of some parks.'
Pitcher: 'Name one.'
Catcher: 'Yellowstone!'

He was smart actually. That hillbilly seen Arrambide step up to the plate and he knew right then that there was no need to move if the ball was hit in the air.

Bad look honestly. Don’t like that type of attitude for the team.
Dude … he had seen it three times already to almost the exact same spot. He knew where that ball was going.

RF said, “ I'm not running through the wall for that one”.

expecting ole boy to just sprout wings and fly up there?

He had enough after the third homer Arramabide sent over his head. He snatched the ball and looked back like why do we keep pitching to this bawww

What was he supposed to do? You could tell it was way out off of the bat.
Do you want the outfielder to run full speed into the wall just so he can get a closer look at it going out 20 feet over his head?

I mean, he read it off the bat, perfectly… I don’t know why people are upset about it…

This reminds me of a regional game against, I believe, VCU in 2001. A VCU player hit a monster bomb over LF Todd Linden’s head. Linden never moved a muscle from the moment the ball left the bat.
I was going to post this. Except without the “I believe”

I was going strictly off of memory. I was only 96.5% sure of the opponent.

And then I really liked that he didn't even want to get the ball off field and he was closest to it.
A tip of the hat, he was committed to not giving a frick.

that's an "oh shite . . . another one" reaction from the moment it launched off of the bat

I did the exact same thing in high school, but I was in left field. Josh Booty and Evangel beat the brakes off us, 28-0. I said F*ck It, I be damned if I keep running to the fence just to see the ball go over it. I learned a lot about myself. I thought I was this superstar freshmen, Josh struck me out 3 straight times, humbled the hell out of me.
