re: Vegas thinks we go 7-5. Thoughts?

I don't gamble, but I've always heard: don't bet with your fandom, and expect to make money.

The amount of people swearing we will beat A&M is nuts. I want us to win that game, but they're loaded and going to be highly ranked, and that game is at their place. We were 6-6, lost a lot of the team (and depth), have a new coach and a new set of schemes to install.

Realistically, I hope for 8-4, and anything better would be great. We may not be there this year.

Split the 4 games in October and November

Our DL will keep us in ball games. Give an accurate QB enough time to get the ball into the hands of our playmakers, we'll win a few more than we lose. We have playmakers at WR and a good TE group (God I can't wait for Mashburn put on a blocking clinic). I expect a lot out of our rb's this year with Emery having a breakout year. We're beating the brakes off Fla State in the opener. Ms State will rue the day they joined the SEC. Auburn might not even walk into Jordan Hare when they hear Coach Kelly is standing at full mast on the 50 yd line. Embarassing Florida in the BillySwamp. . Saban will apologize before the game so we don't start a riot. We're beating A&M's arse so bad Jimbo cries in the post game presser and admits to NIL violations. We're gonna remind motherfrickers what LSU football on Saturday night in Tiger Stadium is all about. The toughness Kelly is preaching to these kids reminds me of the team's mindset when Joe became Big Dick Joe that imposed his will on you and that moxy rubbed off on the team. I'm telling yall, keep your expectations low, do whatever, this team is gonna punch people in their shite. Hide and watch.

Laterrance Welch will be the next great Freshman CB and will have at least 3 INT's by the time we play Bama. Dude is the definition of a ball hawk playmaker. I expect he and Harold Perkins to get a lot of playing time this year. Mason Smith is gonna scare people this year, same with Ojulari. Ali Gaye will be a household name. Our defense will be freaking filthy baws. Lay some money down. Vegas is giving money away marking this team at 7-5.

I don't think 9-3 is as hard as some are making it. This all comes down to coaching. As bad as the roster was against Bama and Arkansas last year, both games could've been one with better play calling. I don't believe Denbrock will have us at 2019 level of offense but they should be pretty good this season. The defense isn't being run by a first time coordinator. If we are to believe Tyrann when he said that Matt House will put the players in position to make the plays, than defense will be much improved. There's elite talent on this roster but not elite depth, but with elite coaching this team will shock some people.

What was your preseason prediction the last 2 seasons?

If the win total is 7 then I would say the play is over. I think LSU is more than likely to go 8-4 than 6-6. If the number is 7.5 then I would probably stay away from it.
