careful now - some posters on this board say Brennan will have the second best season in LSU history and will be drafted.

Pure delusion, of course.

Well, then you have the retards who agree with a known troll.

His post was meant to be stupid, you agreed.

Both Brennan and Daniels are experienced, and good.

I think everybody is thinking better numbers but afraid to say it. I think what Vegas is basing their numbers on is the number of players LSU lost and the end end of the schedule along with depth weakn3sses at key positions like DB. I think they shed LS a s a lot of talent, but it has to be put together with depth weaknesses at DB. They also unsure of the OL. Frankly IMO the O Cl will be a huge. Surprise as to how good it will be.

I was talking about posts by numerous people over the past few months about Brennan having a historic season and getting drafted.

How did you feel about Joe Burrow when he came to LSU?

Before I condemn Miles Brennan in 2022, I'd like to see him play in 2022. We also have Daniels, a multi year starter at AZ State, and Nuss who shows promise.

The person you agreed with, is a known troll who posts dumb stuff for reactions.

Over a 70% win pctg and 3 national championships in 20 years. I'd say we don't.

That sounds nice... now do the past 3 years, and factor in how many were on roster by the end of each season.

2019, great. Won a title. We lose the QB, RB, TE, most of the line, and the top 2 WRs just on offense. Lost our LB starters, the better of the safeties, one of the starting corners and our nickel.

2020, not great. Struggled to finish 500, our new QB was injured after 3 games, our top WR and TE left in midseason, our returning star corner was hurt half the year. Finished with about 50 guys on roster. One of the 2 replacement QBs transferred out after losing his shot to take the job.

2021, not great again. Our expected QB doesn't make it to opening day before he gets injured again, the sole remaining QB has a decent statistical year but regresses on the field (and transfers after the year), our RB struggles early but emerges (and leaves for the draft). A LB emerges on defense, but leaves for the draft. Our corners, expected to be strong, both falter, miss half the year with injuries, one leaves for the draft and the other transfers. Only scholarship QB left gets a couple games, but then refuses to play in the bowl "to keep his redshirt", we finish with about 50 guys on roster. We have a star WR who emerged in 2020, he gets hurt halfway through the year. We played a WR at TE, had a young RB who showed promise and has now transferred, had another RB expected to emerge but was ineligible for the year. Lost our NFL caliber kicker to the draft.

We enter 2022 with a QB that hasn't seen the field since 2020, another that transferred in, and another that saw about 1.5 game's worth of playing time. Pencil in the RB who is now eligible again, the WR coming off his injury and the other guy who played TE. Numbers on the DL, bunch of unknown behind them.
Complete flip of coaching staff, totally new systems on both O and D.

I'm all for optimism, hell I hope we win the playoff. I won't put money on that, though. This could be a painful year.

To get to 9-3 or better we are going to have to have almost no injuries to key players which is very unlikely. Just don't have the depth to sustain many injuries. We certainly should be better than last year.

Florida State and Mississippi State will be the 2 games that determine how the season goes. We lose those two and we will be lucky to go 6 and 6.

Gotta win against FSU first.

NM, UAB and Southern - 3-0

Moo State, Tenn, Bama, Ole Miss at home - 2-2

Auburn, Florida, Arky, aTm away- 2-2

Above is not out of the question. We don't know anything about what we have coming down the pipe. We've seen this type of enthusiasm before. While I do agree I trust BK more than Ed Orgeron, I've learned to temper expectations with pre-season hype around LSU "changing things up".

If we lose against FSU, 7-5 is not an unreasonable outcome for the season.

We should go 10-2, 11-1 not out of the question. Too much talent

Way to manage expectations. 7-5 or 8-4 would be a positive first step with a new regime, new system, and realistic expectations in the SEC West.

We’ll see what happens this year. Have no idea how they will do.

And everyone of those 20 years the pre-season hype was we should win a national championship because we had so much "talent". Did it ever occur to you that other teams have lots of talent also? In fact never has there been so much talent and it is spread around. Who in the SEC West does not have talent? Games are won or lost on many things besides talent. Even Alabama, who gets the best players at every position, lose a game once in a while.
