Alright whatever, get lost in the semantics of you want but it means that there are better odds taking the under according to the sports book. Don’t know about you but I’ll take the over here and thank you for the even money

Yeah, really shocked here. Lsu will not be dogs in 3 or 4 games with that schedule.

IF the schedule is played like put in front of us. I would say that 8 wins would be the max...... every top tier team has LSU circled on their schedule. Myles has to play top notch for us to reach even 8 wins..... this team is WAY different than last year......

Yeah its a market.

Has nothing to do with what Vegas thinks will happen. On sportsbook.ag, win totals almost always open at -115 on over and under and fluctuate with the market. Has little to nothing to do with what Vegas thinks.

They also have A&M at 6.5. The other 9 schools are under 6.5.

Well its not. I havent bet it.

Post a ticket of a book actually taking your money at 6.5 lol.

The fact that you think you know betting and they would ever set the total at 6.5.....

I would (and probably will) bet the OVER, but when Vegas comes out with something that sounds crazy they normally don't end up looking all that crazy once all is said and done.

That said, this season will be such a clusterfrick that I'm not sure anyone - even Vegas - really knows WTF they're talking about.

I don't gamble, but if I did, I'd bet the over on this.

Like OP said, there are 6 pretty easy W's, leaving 4 games in doubt. Get 1 of the 4, you go over.

My take on those 4, Alabama would probably be the hardest, and I expect they would be favored. Florida might be a slight favorite. Auburn, based on the series, is likely a push.

A&M... I think they're fool's gold. Everything good in the preseason was based on them having a cakewalk schedule, and making it to 10-0 or 9-1 going into the last 2 wks (vs LSU and Alabama). That's now out the window, and I don't see A&M as higher than the 4th place team in the West. If it were a home game for LSU, I'd say LSU would be a double digit favorite; I still expect LSU to be favored by around 7 or so.
I also expect we'll beat Auburn again, so I think we're looking at 8-2, 9-1 for the year.

I think my bookie makes it to where I can’t see stuff like that. For instance one day I saw cfb futures and it had us vs A&M as a pick em... A frickING PICK EM! Next day it wasn’t on there anymore and my ticket had been deleted? Sometimes I wonder if he’s afraid I’ll put a lien on his house.... I mean, I will but still.

They have the Under set at -130 and the over set at +100. For those of you who don’t know what that means, it means that they believe LSU will win less than 6.5 games

Apparently you don't know what it means, because it definitely does NOT mean what you just said.

It means exactly what he said it means. In every bet there is always a favorite and an underdog. If it is a money line (which this one is) the favorite will have a minus (-) by their name (i.e. you must lay more money than you will win). In this case, the favorite is the under.

that number should be games played, not wins. And i’d take the under, way under.

Yep, its like some of these people dont know different bet shops have different lines. Betonline has it at 6.5, bet it earlier, seems like a bad line

That’s not how it works though

If the season is cut short then the bet is nullified and you get your wager back.

So did the season over/under wins get nullified when LSU mcneese was cancelled? I understand usually vegas nullifies when there is a cancellation but i was wondering if you are sure the bet is nullified here. Maybe its 6.5 because they think lsu only plays 8 total games?

I mean who really think we gonna go 6-4 if we play out the full season there is no way

It’s amazing how confident people can be even when they’re dead wrong and you provide the proof for them and rub their nose in it

The current line I have is 6.5. Every site I looked at today it at 6.5 and the reason that dumbass thinks it’s so low is because it is! It’s a great bet, which is the point of my thread. Hammer the over!

Btw even tigerdroppings.com front page has a headline right now that also shows the O/U at 6.5.

Bovada has the total at 8. If any book is giving you 6.5 I’d take out a loan and put it on the over

My feelings too. I don’t know what the sports book is thinking but I bet the over and can’t imagine it losing.

Wow that’s a huge difference. Maybe there is something wrong with the sportsbetting and sportsbook sites I’m on then because 8 is what I expected the O/U to be and why I placed a max bet on the 6.5.

They accepted the ticket already but now halfway expecting them to kick it out seeing other sites with more seemingly correct lines

ETA/ you can tell people are hammering the over. It went from +100 earlier when I made the bet to -155 now. Damn it... they’ll probably catch their mistake once they see that
