SEC Regular Season Win Total:

LSU
Over/Under 6.5

LSU Schedule:
9-26 v. Miss. State W
10-3 @ Vanderbilt W
10-10 v. Missouri W
10-17 @ Florida
10-24 v. South Carolina W
10-31 @ Auburn
11-7 Bye week
11-14 v. Alabama
11-21 @ Arkansas W
11-28 @ Texas A&M
12-5 v. Ole Miss W
——————————————————

Does anyone here believe LSU loses any of the games above I placed a W next to? Those are arguably the six worst teams in the SEC and the two weakest of those teams are the two road games. The rest of those are at home.

If LSU wins all six of those games, which they absolutely should, then all they would need to do is win one of the remaining games to finish on the over. Considering how talented we are, I can’t imagine why we’d be expected to lose every single one of those games.

Sportsbooks have LSU favored to go Under 6.5. Thoughts?

Over seems like a lock, but does it account for if the season gets cut short?

Well there is at least s 50/50 chance they won’t even play a full season. So 6.5 is high.

Would assume that if the number of games is changed then the bet is voided

This. Not one team will play a full season. Its BS but the quarantine will catch them all for at least a game or two.

That’s not how it works though

If the season is cut short then the bet is nullified and you get your wager back.

Sportsbetting.ag is the book I use most often.

They have the Under set at -130 and the over set at +100. For those of you who don’t know what that means, it means that they believe LSU will win less than 6.5 games. You’d win more money betting on the over than you would the under.

not sure if you’re joking or not, those wagers would get canceled if the season was not played in full

Apparently you don't know what it means, because it definitely does NOT mean what you just said.

I usually search for win totals to make my prop bets for seasons because they’re high win % bets for me. I typically don’t bet on LSU because of a homer bias but looking at all the teams’ lines I really can’t find one other O/U win bet that I feel more confident about. I’m going to be placing the max bet on the over for LSU but was hoping someone could explain why it is set so low other than “because the season will get cut short”

6.5 seems low but 7.5 would seem high.

Who knows what to expect from this team?

I’m hoping he just mixed some words and doesn’t really have a betting account

Damn dude I wouldn’t comment on something you know nothing about. That’s a bad look for you bud

If I bet the under that means I’d have to bet $130 to win $100. If I bet the over I’d only have to bet $100 to win $100. So it absolutely means you win more betting the over rather than the under

That's easy money. At most, absolute worst case we lose 4.
Those you listed.

5 wins are basically guaranteed. South Carolina they might need to try.

Florida, Auburn, Bama will decide season, as usual.

No...you said that it means the book or Vegas definitely thinks that LSU will go under because they are -130 on the under. Having LSU at -130 on the under, definitely does NOT mean Vegas thinks that at all.

You aren't even close.
