Tell me you’ve never been to a game in Vandy’s park without telling me you’ve never been to a game in Vandy’s park.

They could throw a billion dollars at renovating that place and still not come close to Alex Box. It’s an afterthought backed up against the visiting side of that tiny football stadium.

It’s a testament to the fact that athletics are a complete afterthought to Vanderbilt University.

I'm sure Scott Woodward has heard all the complaints about the stadium, as well as the suggestions for improvements. He knows the Stadium and the fan experience is seriously lacking.

Still, the athletic department simply refuses to make any real improvements at all. I can only presume that LSU simply doesn't have the money to make changes.

The atmosphere makes the stadium, not the amenities. Quit being a pansy

Very modern and matches the cranes and midrises popping up all around downtown Nashville, but also looks like TopGolf Vegas.

LSU needs to close the gap on MSU, USC, Ark.

I'm wondering how many people making comments on stadiums have even been to other stadiums. I know an ex SEC pitcher, now on coaching staff that has been to every stadium since their last renovation. He rated Moo St best, with LSU, Arky and SC about equal. Loved Ole Miss campus but stadium was not as good.

It is about priority. The PMAC comes first over everything else.

but Miss st and A&M are prob equal at best.
The Dude Is the best stadium in the country at the moment. I would put SC ahead of the box and Baum equal. Need more chair backs plus the different color seating is ugly as hell.

If there’s demand for condos in left or right field I think that would look great. First floor parking and drive in and go right up to your condo and watch the game. That would be better than suites to me. Wrap around concourse would be cool but it wouldn’t generate revenue.

Would you rather sit on the bleachers watching a #5 national seed hosting or watching on tv because we’re on the road at someone else’s regional?

This isn’t an either or lol we can have both a great team and a better stadium. The whole Alex box shite really is full on Louisiana mindset.

The players stuff is already the best, we can keep adding to that as well as make a better stadium. Alex box is essentially generic baseball stadium with some aging championship trophies.

I think a good way to look at it is this:

We can all agree that the sole purpose of the bleacher seats is capacity. They literally bring nothing else to the experience or the stadium. All they’re there for is to add to ticket sales. I don’t think anyone would argue otherwise.

So what if we removed them… what would Alex Box be if the 7000 bleacher seats were removed? So without them all you’re losing is capacity. What would people think of a 4K-seat stadium as it is right now? Would people then realize how unimpressive it actually is? That it’s not much different than UGA and no better than Auburn? Because that’s legitimately what it is when you simply remove your capacity bleachers that bring nothing else to the table.

I wonder what the ratio is if you converted the bleachers to chair backs?how many seats lost? Then they could obviously increase the ticket price to offset the lost seats. The place is never jammed packed. Maybe Tennessee this year, or a few past supers, but for the most part it’s hardly ever a hard sellout

The box is possibly the most bland stadium in the sec, which is everyone’s complaint

It's not Top 3 but "most bland" is idiotic

Cool
He's a player and coach. He's never experienced these stadiums bring him and his kids sitting in regular seats

Also Ole Miss is about as nice as the box but avg atmosphere is better because at least twice as many students are at their games and they are having a party in the outfield while our students are sitting on bleachers getting harassed by marshals

Coach Kim Mulkey: "See that PMAC over there? If they don't get that sucker built before I retire, I'm going to give them holy hell. I like things done yesterday, we don't want to get left behind. I can say this now," she quipped. "I just won a national championship.”

Just follow her lead Coach Johnson.

Is the way our current stadium is built or the seats/amenities/etc. doing any of the following:

causing the team to lose games
causing lsu to lose out on top recruits
causing lsu/lsu baseball to lose money
preventing lsu fans from going to games
preventing opposing fans from going to games
limiting our ability to host regionals or super regionals
